Valerie opened her palm below her neck and stared down at Phil, who was lying down on her palm. Phil looked up at her, startled.
He was used to being picked up without warning, but never with a stranger. He wasn't sure if he should be frightened.
Valerie’s eyes roamed over Phil, examining him closely. A small frown appeared when she noticed, now that she had Phil up close, his oversized clothes and untidy hair.
Phil stood up and watched her carefully. He was blushing again as he noticed Valerie's roaming eyes. Valerie giggled again when she saw his blush.
"Hi, I'm Valerie Ross." she introduced herself. Phil felt her breath wash over him, rocking him back slightly. He smiled back:
"Hi, I'm Phil Bermine!" he told her. She grinned at this:
"Hi Phil, Bermine? No, that won't do. It's not adequate for your... stature. I think from now on you'll be Phil Tiny."
Phil didn't know how to respond to this. In the end, he supposed the diminutive didn't matter. He didn't like "Bermine" anyway, and he didn't want to make this Giant Girl mad. He nodded:
"Okay, if you want." Suddenly...
