"You look rather tired. Why don't we have your mother drive us home?" Phil answered.
"Are you sure? I walk. I feel fine," Kendra insisted.
"No, I don't want to obligate you too much."
"All right fine, I'll go get my mother."
Phil looked up and could tell Kendra was disappointed and wanted to get talk to him more.
Kendra went into her house and asked her mother to drop off a friend. Within a minute or so, they were in the car and leaving. It was a rather awkward ride because Phil knew Kendra was upset but didn't know what to do about it. Luckily, it wasn't that long. It ended in about 5 minutes, which seemed twice as long for Phil because of the awkwardness.
"All right, here we are," called Kendra's mother. Kendra took Phil to the door. What does Phil do?
