"Well I was hanging out with my new friend Kendra," Phil lies.
"Oh, that's great! I'll arrange to have you hang out with her more often," responds his mother.
Oh great, Phil thinks, it looks like this lie will come back to haunt him. He'll now have to spend more time with that crazy evil girl.
He spends the rest of the night as usual. The next day he walks into school and sits down at his desk. He looks behind him to see Kendra's smiling face tower above him. He then looks forward and finds Mrs. Prittey staring at him expectantly.
"Where were did you go during detention?" she interrogates.
"Well, I uhh," Phil stammers. He hears screeching as Kendra rubs her feet behind him to warn him to make the right answer. What does Phil do?
