No Buts Except Becky's... My name is Phil Tiny chapter 16 by copier · original author: vinnyloo

"No buts. I think I'm going to go to sleep early,” the tiny boy proclaimed from below, in defiance
of his older sister. Becky was left with her mouth open, and her eyebrows lowered a bit as she
watched her little brother nonchalantly walk over to his match-box bed and hop in.

An angry ‘No buts?!’ was on the tip of her tongue when her mother took her by the shoulder.

“Calm down,” she whispered, “He’s had a long day.”

“But did you hear what he said to me?” Becky replied in a whisper, turning toward her mother.

“Yes, of course. But you said a lot of mean stuff to him yourself earlier.”

“I know, but that was part of the punishment. He shouldn’t be able to talk to me like that.”

“Just let it go, Becky. Oh yeah, I need you to take him to school in the morning, I’ll be leaving
for work early tomorrow.”

“Oh, you will? Okay Mom...” Becky’s voice trailed off. Their mother walked out of the room,
and didn’t see the devious grin that formed on Becky’s face as she glanced back at her sleeping
little brother, and then left the room herself...

The next morning...

Phil awoke from the haze of sleep, and as it quickly faded he found himself surrounded by an
enormous pressure on all sides. He was in darkness. He didn’t know where he was, but then he
heard a familiar, but extremely muffled laughter. It was Becky’s huge annoying laugh, and it
seemed to come from above.

“No butts?” Her muffled voice laughed. “I think not!”
