Jasmine reached into her boot until her hand hit the bottom. She felt Phil and gently wrapped her hand around him. She pulled Phil out of the sweat filled boots, which of course, was a giant relief to Phil...for the time being.
"Ok, little man. I've had my fun and now it's somebody else's turn."
Somebody else's turn? Surely she's joking. Who is this "someone else"?
"I want you to meet someone, a long-time friend of mine. Her name is Maya."
"Did you call for me?"
A slim woman stepped out of the darkness radiating from the kitchen. She had on a pink sleeping gown along with matching bunny slippers. She had pale white skin. In terms of decency, she was the exact opposite of Jasmine.
"Yes, I did, Maya. I want you to have a present."
"What is it?"
"It's a tiny man."
Before Maya can ask anything further, Jasmine hands you Maya. Jasmine quickly pinches you in order to get a reaction from you. She's not going to let you play the, "I'm-just-a-doll" game.
"Have fun, I've gotta go somewhere."
And with that Jasmine leaves the room. Meanwhile, Maya just stares at you with the oddest curiosity.
"Um...hi." You say. Maya jumps back slightly. The shock of holding a tiny man in anyone's hand could overwhelm even the calmest person. Finally, after what seems like an eternity, Maya speaks.
"Ok, little man. I've had my fun and now it's somebody else's turn."
