So Close, And Yet, So Far... My name is Phil Tiny chapter 12 by copier · original author: superfan

The rest of the day passed very slowly for Phil. Try as he might, he could not break free of his gummy shackles. As the body heat from Kirsten's leg evaported Emily's saliva, the wads of gum lost their taffy-like elasticity. Becoming more like cement!

He had one brief ray of hope, when Ms. Prittey crossed paths with the cheerleaders at the end of the schoolday.

"Oh, girls! There you are. Have you seen Philip? His mother's here, to pick him up."

"No, ma'am!" chorused the cheerleaders, in perfect unison.

"The last time I saw him was at lunch," added Kirsten: "Although, I did bump into Sandra, which did leave to a brief shoving match."

She then gasped, as if in shock.

"Y-you don't suppose she k-k-kidnapped him. Do you?"

"Hmph!" snorted Ms. Prittey: "I wouldn't be surprised. That girl breaks so many rules, I'm surprised she hasn't been demoted back to kindergarten!

"MMMMMPH!" screamed Phil, in frustration, through his gum-gag. It was no use, however. Ms. Prittey's footsteps faded away.

"OK, girls," said cheer captain, in triumph: "Let's go over to my house."
