Phil decides that this is not the best time to escape. It'll be a long day. He'll have a better chance later.
"Good morning Heather," greets a younger, female voice.
"Good morning Rachel," Heather responds. "Did you make a copy for this mornings meeting?"
"Yep all here."
"Now, I hope there are no mistakes like last time. This is our biggest client, and we need to pull all our strings to get her."
"No, I double checked."
"Good. For the next few minutes, tell all calls that I am busy unless it's Mary while I prepare."
Phil couldn't see what was going on, but he guesses that Rachel, who was evidently Heather's secretary, handed Heather some files and walks into her office. Before she can sit down, there's a knock on the door.
"Hello Heather." The voices sounds like a slightly older middle-aged woman.
"Good morning Mary."
"I just wanted to check up to see how you were doing. This is a pretty important meeting coming up. If you can land them, I see a big promotion coming your way"
"Yes ma'am. I'll see you in a few minutes."
Her boss, Mary, left, and Heather conducted a last minute review of all the papers. She knew them by heart now, but she wanted them fresh in her mind. In about five minutes, she got up to go. Phil was glad he had waited. He had a plan...
