As the weeks pass, Phil comes to find he's gained a new found respect from the girls in his karate class, and that's spread to much of the rest of the school. Despite their respect though, the girls still don't enjoy losing to Phil. They find their sparing sessions with him to be fun and enjoyable, but they pride themselves on being the best they can be, yet nobody has yet discovered a way to beat the little 2 inch kid and his pebble kung fu.
At midterm, Ms. Li got the attention of the class and introduced a new student: Janice Hodge, from Texas. She spoke with a very strong Texan accent, was average height, but very athletic. She had long wavey brown hair and a curvey body. Janice had taken karate at her former school in Texas and was able to enroll in the Ms. Li's advanced class.
Janice's first match was with Ally, a girl stuck in the middle ranks of the class. Janice beat her handily, but was very friendly with Ally and even helped her off the mat after its conclusion. She then proceeded to work her way up the ladder of the class in the following sessions, until finally she came face to foot with Phil and his Pebble Kung Fu....
