"So we've got a free huh bug?" she asked. Phil nodded. "Great! Let's go!" She tucked him back into her blouse and Phil felt Karen moving. He was kind of relieved that he had a free period, but then again, he still had no idea as to what to expect.
Suddenly, the moving stopped, and Karen's hand picked Phil out of the pocket and set him down on the table. Then, she pulled her back and moved it above Phil. She then picked up her bag and then dropped it on the table. Phil quickly moved out of the way, and wasn't happy. Karen let off an evil smirk.
"I'm glad you find that amusing" he told her. "Like you wouldn't believe", she replied. She then reached into her bag and got out her books and pens. "Listen bug, I'd have a task all planned out for you, but I've actually got a lot of work to do. Don't disturb me" was her order.
Phil found that incredibly easy to comply with. He just sat still and observed his surroundings as Karen busily got her work done.
And that's when it hit Phil. Karen was so engrossed in her work, that if he left the table, she wouldn't notice him. But then, he took into account the amount of people that were in the library. If he were to leave the table, he could escape, but then he could soon be picked up by someone else, let alone get killed by Karen. However, if he stayed where he was, then he'd still be Karen's slave, though he would still be protected.
What happens next?
