"Great, let's go bug!", she said, picking up Phil and placing him in her blouse pocket. Phil didn't get to see much more after that, but kept feeling the movements of Karens body. A few minutes later, Karens hand picked up Phil and placed him on her desk.
Phil quickly surveyed the class, and there was no-one he knew. Granted, he didn't know many people yet. "Ready for your next task bug?" Karen exclaimed. "Just as long as it's not embarassing" Phil replied. He obviously did not want to get Karen angry by rebelling against her.
"Don't worry, I'm not going to put you in my mouth again" she said, with a smile that obviously meant she was lying. "All you need to do is to help me get all the answers right today".
Phil wasn't surprised. "Generally, I'm not so bad at maths, but with you around, well, maybe today I can get a day off", she remarked. As the two got their books out, Karen spoke to Phil
"Wait, let me rephrase that, I'm good at maths. I very rarely get anything wrong. So do yourself a favor and make sure you get all the right answers". Phil now felt scared. He wasn't too bad of a maths student, but not the greatest. He had to put his skills to the test and prayed that he didn't get one wrong. Karen didn't look like the type to be giving out second chances.
The class began and the teacher told them the questions they were to do for the class. Phil knew the stuff, thankfully. Every few minutes, Karen would ask him for the answers, and Phil would dictate his workings to him. Karen checked each one to make sure he wasn't making anything up.
It was going very well for Phil, until he reached a question where he was stumped. He was in the middle of figuring it out when Karen called up to him. "Answer, bug" was her call".
"Give me a moment, I'm still working it out", Phil asked. Karen wasn't too pleased that her bug wasn't giving her the answer. "I said give me the answer now bug!" she said, her voice starting to sound more meanacing.
Phil was working faster than ever. He was pushing his luck by delaying his answer, and even when coming up with one, he didn't have time to check everything over. "Last warning bug, Answer, now!" Karen said, her voice teeming with fury. Her hand was now positioned close to Phil's body.
"Ok, ok, I've got it", Phil assured her. Phil dictated his workings and answer to her. Karen scanned the back of the book to make sure that he was correct. Phil crossed his fingers. He wasn't sure whether or not he got it right...
