Phil feels excruciating pain as Ms. Prittey walks to her car. Each step is like a form of torture. That's nothing compared to the pain he experiences each time she presses on the gas pedal. Phil tries his best to wiggle free but nothing seems to work. The gum sticks his arm and flings him back no matter which way he struggles.
Eventually he passes out from the pain. The last thing he remembers is that he had twisted his arms horizontally, as much as they could without breaking at least. This was while his teacher had to slam on the breaks for some red light or something. One his way back to the normal position, he must have passed out.
He woke up to feeling like he was rolling against the floor. It was more or less dark. He could hear the thuds of Ms. Prittey's sandals, but they were a far away. He had broken free from his nutcracker on her heels. He begins to get up and jump for joy. This gets slightly mitigated when he realizes that the gum is still stuck to his arms, keeping them glued to his shirt like a straighjacket. The wad must have fallen off the shoe due to his struggles, and now in the tumble it covered his chest and arms.
He begins to take in his surroundings to form an action plan. He is...
