Yuna let out a surprised gasp as she saw what at first looked like a bug on top of her foot. She was about to react in fright and swat it away, until she noticed that it looked too unusual to be a simple bug. It was standing on two legs, and was looking straight up at her. The unusual appearance piqued her curiosity, and she leaned in to eyeball it. Another shock overcame her as she recognized the figure standing there.
"...Tidus?"
Tidus was overjoyed that Yuna finally spotted him, and he jumped on the spot waving his arms and yelling "YUNA!" at the top of his lungs, though his voice was significantly quieter because of his smaller lungs that went with his shrunken body. Yuna knew it was Tidus from his reaction, though she could only hear faint muffling coming from him.
"Don't move." Yuna said to him, as she placed her hands together and started to concentrate. Tidus recognized this expression, as it was the same expression she uses to cast Esuna in her battles. As she parted her hands, a line of circles swirled around Tidus, and he could feel his body growing bigger. At last, his problems would finally be over, and he'd be back to his usual regular sized full volume self in a matter of seconds. His hope was cut short however, when the growth stopped abruptly. He had grown, but not by much. The spell had worked, but only to a short extent. Tidus was about as tall as Yuna's big toe, and repeated casting of the spell did nothing to further his growth.
"I don't know what's wrong, it's not working anymore." The summoner said with a guilty tone in her voice. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!"
"It's OK! At least it's better than nothing." Tidus replied. "Can you hear me now?" Tidus' voice was still rather faint, but Yuna could understand him clearly now. She gave a nod of confirmation, and started to wonder what could've gone wrong.
"I don't understand. It must be a very unusual condition if I can't cure it any more than this. I'm sorry, I wish I knew how to remedy this."
Tidus got down on one knee, and started rubbing her foot to console her. "I'm just glad you found me. I was afraid I'd have to climb all the way up to your ear!"
"It would be pretty difficult to get up my skirt." Yuna chucked. She could always count on Tidus to cheer her up, and this was no exception.
"Did you come looking for me by yourself?" Tidus asked.
"We all went looking for you, but the rest wanted to set up camp before it got dark. I insisted that I would keep looking though."
"And I'm sure glad you did, otherwise I'd still be out there."
Yuna smiled. "You know, it's funny. Wakka kept pacing up and down the highroad looking for you. If I had known you had shrunk beforehand, I'd be afraid he would've trodden on you already!"
"Yikes. That sounds painful." Joking around about the situation with Yuna helped take his mind off the perils that would come with his new size. "So, shall we head back?"
Yuna takes a moment to think to herself.
"Actually..."
"...Tidus?"
