"That you can help me tend to the flowers in the church."
Those are the words that Cloud heard. Crossing his arms Cloud says "A little work never hurts." Aerith smiled and says "Well at your size it might not be as simple as you might think." Silently nodding Cloud indicates that he's ready. Without a second to waste Aerith wraps her hands around Cloud's small body and inserts it in what seems to be a bag of some sort. Aerith closes the bag and begins to move. As she moves Cloud can feel himself swinging back and forth while inside the bag. "How long is this supposed to last?" thinks Cloud to himself as he's taken around what he imagines is the slums of Midgar. After a few minutes the bag opens up and Cloud sees Aerith's all too familiar hand looking for him. Quickly it finds and grasps him. Once out Cloud is able to see the yellow flowers that were there when he first met the flower girl.
Aerith steps forward and once close enough to the group of flowers she places Cloud's small form on the ground. In addition to that she also hands him what appears to be a small knife of some sort. As the item is placed into his hands Cloud asks "What's this?" Aerith says with a smile "Your job is to take care of the weeds growing in the group of flowers. Simple hm?" Swinging the small knife like a blade and getting a good feeling Cloud says "Sounds good to me. But what will you be doing?" Aeirth punches a fist into her open palm and says with confidence "As you do your job, I'll be watering the plants." Wouldn't that make all the dirt into mud?
"Wouldn't that make my job harder?" asks a negative Cloud. Aerith not losing any of her spirit says "It won't be hard if you finish quickly. Plus there aren't many weeds in here. That said, let's get to work!"
Looking ahead and then back Cloud sees Aerith preparing the watering can and all her tools. Realizing it would be for the best to get ahead of her before she makes the dirt muddy Cloud rushes into the "forest" of flowers. Not long after entering the patch of flowers Cloud encounters the first weed. A rather brownish plant that seems like a pine tree of some sort. Not wasting time the miniature blonde approaches it and gets into a fighting position. He quickly attacks the plant and manages to make a good cut, but not enough to get rid of it. Thinking for a moment Cloud says "If I just cut it, it would just grow back. I need to pull it out completely." Getting an idea Cloud begins to concentrate and stares with determination at the undesirable plant. He rushes towards it and stabs his weapon into it at the base. Moving his arms upward Cloud is able to perform his famous Climhazzard Limit Break to pull the weed all the way down to its roots. While in the air he's able to get a temporary view of the rest of the area. He spots two more weeds for him to take care of.
Once he lands, Cloud hears a most pleasant sound. The sound of humming and soon that sound is accompanied by moisture as water begins to fall on the area where Cloud is. Seeing his earlier jump Aerith comes down and says as she grabs the already pulled weed "I'll take care of this. Not bad so far little guy." Aerith then continues her work on watering the plants. Feeling like the ground is a little slippery Cloud says "If I don't hurry, it will be harder to do all this. Setting out in the direction of the second weed, Cloud is able to get rid of it as well.
When he finally reaches the third weed he can hear loud footsteps approaching. No doubt it's Aerith who is coming to water the plants in the area near the weed. If she succeeds it may as well be impossible for Cloud to finish his task. Digging his tool into the base of the final weed Cloud begins with great effort to try and dispatch the final undesirable plant. The footsteps are getting louder and Cloud is beginning to worry slightly. He's admittedly a bit tired since he's no longer "fresh as a daisy" after pulling two massive weeds out. But he will not give up. Suddenly the footsteps stop and he can see a wall of pink and red, no doubt it's Aerith's dress. She's arrived. Concentrating like he's never done so before Cloud forces the knife upwards and manages to throw the weed into the air as well as himself. A sigh of relief came out of Cloud's mouth as he saw the end of his task.
Suddenly he felt himself land on something soft, but it was not the ground...it was Aerith's hand! Looking up he saw Aerith's smiling face who says "Good job. Just in the nick of time I'd say." Her other hand has the final weed that Cloud just pulled out. Aerith quickly dispatches it and waters the plants in the area. Continuing to smile Aeirth says to Cloud who looks a bit dirty after his job "I may not be able to pay you, but I'd say a bath should clear up all the dirt, wouldn't you say?" Cloud nods and says "You're also sweaty. Just because you're not visibly dirty like me, doesn't mean that you don't need a bath." Giggling a bit Aerith says "Guess we're even."
