“Justice?” Kallen repeated as she spat on Euphemia, “How is this justice?! All I wanted was to return my people back to their former glory…a glory you Brittanian scum took from us!”
“You were going power mad and destroying the world beneath your feet!”
“And you weren’t?! Look at your handiwork your Highness.” Kallen gestured to the planet by Euphie’s feet, littered with craters and partially demolished from Euphie’s toe on it minutes before. “My battle for Japan might cost a few thousand lives, but you wiped out millions!”
Euphie backed away, or…floated away as it was. The horror in her eyes was clear, her resolve weakened, “…But…I…”
Kallen grinned; this was just what she needed. “You what? You focused so much on growth you forgot about the world around you? You wiped out half the planet just to capture one girl? You’re a Brittanian alright. No empathy, no feelings for the people.”
The giant Princess faltered again, her grip on Kallen weakening. “B-But…”
“No buts! You have to be held accountable for your actions Princess!” Euphie continued to falter, her grip nearly vanishing entirely. Another push and it would be over and done with. “How does it feel knowing you killed your own family…? Your beloved sister…?”
That was it, Euphie was finished. Kallen readied herself to grow back into victory as her hand began to slide open, but a voice commanded Euphemia otherwise. “Don’t let her manipulate you Euphemia.” The voice was completely monotone, devoid of any emotion. Kallen clicked her tongue, Damn, forgot about her.
Realizing what had almost happened, Euphie tightened her grip again. “Where did that voice come from?”
“You seem to have forgotten there were two women fighting before you arrived.”
Euphie remembered right away, “You’re that green-haired woman that was trying to stop this girl?”
“That is correct.”
“Where are you?”
“There should be a green dot hidden away in the cleavage of the girl you’re holding.”
Upon further examination Euphie realized C.C. was right, hidden deep within the red bug she held was a smaller green one, held right in the cleavage of the woman. Euphie poked her free hand’s nail as close as it could go, “Can you reach that?”
C.C. reached from the depths of Kallen’s cleavage to grab Euphie’s nail, a large, piercing blade that was dangerously close to Kallen’s throat, not that it bothered the immortal girl . With her captor unable to move it was no problem at all freeing herself and climbing on Euphie’s nail.
Euphie brought her closer to her eyes, “Thank you for stopping me from letting this criminal go. What is your name?”
“Call me C.C.”
The Princess blinked, initials? Certainly odd…although not much odder than three giantesses who outsized each other. “Thank you C.C…I may have destroyed so much, but the least I can do is prevent this woman-”
“Kallen.”
“-Kallen from destroying the rest of the world.”
C.C. looked back to the planet far below. Being the smallest, she could best see the state of affairs; the Earth wasn’t fairing too well to say the least. “Actually Princess…I have a different idea…”
The Princess tiled her head to the side, “An idea? What is it?”
The witch didn’t mince words, “Destroy the Earth.”
“What?! Why would you even suggest something like that!?”
C.C. stared unflinchingly into the eyes that dwarfed her, “Because you don’t see what I see. That world is no longer hospital. One half is already gone and wiped out, the other half is suffering in an upturned world as the results of our giant squabble tear the environment to shreds. It’d be an act of mercy to ease their suffering.”
Euphie opened her mouth to speak, but found no words. The inner turmoil of such an act battled with in her, but deep down she knew C.C. was right. “But…But I can’t!”
“Let me free and I’ll wipe it out with you!” Kallen called from below.
C.C. ignored her, “I figured as much, so I propose an alternative. A contract.”
“Contract?”
C.C. laid a hand against the nail she was on, sending a cycle of images through Euphemia’s mind. “Yes, a contract for power…It will isolate you. Such is the fate of those who wield the Power of Kings. But it will give you the power to defy Destiny itself. You will become more; you will gain a power unlike any other. Do you accept this contract?”
Euphie gulped, this contract she was offered sounded scary. She didn’t understand what she was seeing; it was like watching a thousand years of history flying by in seconds. What had she gotten herself into? Regardless, it was the only option she had…in this world of her mind Euphie spoke in a regal voice. “I, Euphemia Li Brittania accept this contract!”
Back in reality, Euphie looked down to the green dot on her fingernail, eyes red with a familiar sigil on them...The power of the Kings...Geass
