Standing in front of Robin was a very familiar pair of orange toes, which all wiggled excitedly as they faced him. He realized he was right back where he started, with the lovely Tamaranian woman standing above him like an insurmountable goddess, her voice booming yet giddy with anticipation.
"Are you ready to play Robin?"
"You call this fair?" Robin shouted back. "Your toes are bigger than I am!"
Moving her toes directly above him, Starfire replied without a hint of malice or aggression. "But I can tell you are enjoying it, when you aren't trying to act serious. Besides, you are so formidable, surely can you can defeat my feet with little effort!"
Those last words appeared to have lit a fire under the Boy Wonder, as he leapt towards the toes. Unfortunately for him, Starfire's foot was just a bit too high for him to attack, the orange skinned girl giggling at the sight.
"Is that too high of a jump? Here, let me help you!"
Before Robin could react, Starfire's big toe came down to poke him lightly in the stomach, the blow sending him flying. Rather than pin him and end it however, Starfire instead repeatedly poked Robin, sending him flying around the floor, then quickly moved her foot out of the way when he came in to attack.
The girls all cheered and laughed at the sight, all except Raven, who heard a noise she recognized as the communicator. Briefly excusing herself, she took the small device they used for private communication and went into her room, where the noise from the girls wouldn't be heard. Pressing a green button, Raven answered "Hello?" in her usual monotone voice.
"Raven? It's Cyborg. We're reporting in like Robin asked us to. Where is he?"
"Fearless leader is downtown and Starfire is out on patrol," Raven replied, her deadpan voice not suggesting the slightest hint of what they were really doing to Robin. "It's been quiet. You?"
"Well, let him know Speedy, Kid Flash, Beast Boy and I figured out what was going on in Central City. There's this guy named Thaddeus Killgrave that's been scrounging Apokolips hover tanks and other alien tech, and he's got an entire battalion here with robot soldiers and the works."
"Like that time Beast Boy claimed starfish aliens were possessing people?'
A second voice on Cyborg's end quickly interrupted the conversation. "THAT TOTALLY HAPPENED!"
"Sure. So, you'll still be done by Monday?"
Before Cyborg could answer, an alarm began blaring in the background, along with a voice that she was pretty sure shouted "Destroy them!" in a thick German accent.
"Uh Raven? I'll have to call you back." Raven said nothing, but merely turned off the communicator and went back to the cheering girls.
"The others are fine. What did I miss?"
"Take a look for yourself!" Bumblebee answered, laughing at the sight. Looking on, Raven found...
