Jinx was furious. After all this, the boy detective was as thick headed as ever, refusing to budge even an inch. It reminded her of all the times he beat her up back when she was working with H.I.V.E. Admittedly, this was the reason she agreed to help Starfire out, help out a friend who took her in after her defection, as well as She was at wit's end with the boy, preparing to drop him at her feet and give him the most painful footjob ever.
Or at least she was, until Bumblebee's voice shouted "WAIT!"
"What?"
Handing Robin off to Raven briefly, Bumblebee dragged Jinx off to the side. "What were you doing? We're making progress!"
"WHAT?! He's just as thick headed as ever!"
"Yeah, but it's taking him longer and longer to go back to "Goddamn Robin" mode."
The declaration that their plan was working despite Robin's continued screams and struggles caused the pink haired girl to tilt her head slightly. "Come again?"
"When we started, he was screaming the whole way through. Then, he was screaming midway through. Now he waited till Pantha was done before protesting."
"So? He's just waiting longer to scream." Bumbebee shook her head in response.
"His jerk facade is a wall. All of us are tearing it down, but he's trying to build it back up. The thing is, he can't build it nearly as quickly as we tear it down."
"Meaning?"
"Meaning let me handle this one. You'll get your turn with him later."
Jinx could only sigh, hoping to have gotten out her aggression on the tiny boy. "You'd better know what your doing."
"Trust me." Picking up Robin from Raven's hand, Bumblebee found the Boy Wonder shouting to be let go, but rather than attack him, she merely stroked the tiny boy with her fingers."
"Oh, there there little guy," she cooed. "I know you liked that last one, and there's plenty more where it came from."
"I'd like to be let go."
"That bulge says otherwise," she answered, sticking out her tongue at him. The mite in her hand turned a bright shade of red, but rather than laugh at his predicament, Bumblebee continued to stroke him.
"It's OK kid, there's no big mean caped crusader to look over your shoulder. Besides, I'll bet you'll like this next one even better."
