The Mafia, when one says that what crosses your mind? Thugs, crooks, bad guys? How about a cowardly teenage boy? Most likely not, but that was what Tsuna Sawada was. The young man was well on his way to becoming the Tenth Boss of the Vongola Mafia family, whether he liked it or not; and he did not. For the vast majority of his life Tsuna was…well, no good; hence his school nickname No-Good-Tsuna. Bad grades, bad athletics, no friends; Tsuna was the pinnacle of sad cases. But that all changed when one person showed up, a tutor hired by his mother. An infant by the name of Reborn. Now, Reborn seemed odd right off the bat, but things grew only weirder as he talked about making Tsuna a Mafia Boss, and through his effective, if not odd, training methods, Tsuna went through leaps and bounds of growth in a mere two years. Much of it thanks to a special bullet that allowed Tsuna to do supernatural things, a bullet called the Dying Will Bullet.
No longer did people call him no good, Tsuna was now actually fairly popular. No longer was he alone, he had a great deal of friends now, people who Reborn referred to as his “Mafia Family.” But to Tsuna, they were simply his friends. Tsuna’s physical abilities had evolved from pathetic to superhuman through Reborn’s tutelage. And most significantly, it brought Tsuna much closer to his life-long crush Kyoko. With the Mafia affairs Tsuna found himself with he had no time for romance though. He had already battled other mafia, an assassination group, and even travelled to the future! Each fight causing Tsuna to grow and develop at an amazing pace; but it did nothing to change his attitude regarding his feelings toward the Mafia. One day, Reborn decided to try a different approach about that.
It wasn’t a particularly special day, clouds, sunlight…a nice typical Saturday, which Tsuna enjoyed with the rare act of sleeping in. After his adventures 10 years in the future Tsuna had earned a well deserved break…It was sadly short-lived though, as memories of his past encounters…the cruelties he had seen surfaced in the form of nightmares. People he knew were suffering, he was getting beat…his friends were hurt…it was horrifying enough to shock Tsuna awake.
“Ahh!!!” Tsuna sat upright, sweat on his brow. He scanned his room for things from his nightmares, letting out a sigh of relief. “Whew…only a dream…”
“Ciaossu.”
“AAAHHH!!!” Tsuna jumped right out of his bed, right behind him was the person who greeted him, and still to this day never ceased to scare him, Reborn.
The infant smirked towards his pupil, “About time you woke up, I’ve got something I need to ask you.”
“What is it Reborn?”
Reborn was utterly serious in tone, “Have you accepted your role as the Tenth Vongola Boss yet?”
Tsuna frowned, “Oh not this again!! Come on Reborn! I keep telling you, I don’t want to be a Mafia Boss!!”
The tutor lowered his head, “I see…I guess I have no choice…”
The young Vongola appeared nervous, whenever Reborn got like this bad things tended to happen…
Reborn pointed his gun at Tsuna, “In that case…” Tsuna couldn’t react before a single gunshot was fired, aimed directly at his heart. Were it a regular bullet the shot would have murdered Tsuna instantly, but it was no regular bullet. It was the Dying Will Bullet; which, when fired at specific spots had special abilities. The heart was a new spot to be shot at though…what would happen? Tsuna couldn’t tell as his vision grew blurry, and then…black.
Reborn looked sternly at Tsuna, “One day you’ll thank me for this…”
It wasn’t until about five hours later Tsuna awoke, the memory of Reborn shooting him fresh in his mind. “Reborn!! What did he do to me this time?!” Tsuna looked over his body, no changes…nothing different, nothing at all. Was it a dud? Then Tsuna looked up, and his jaw went down.
Everything in his room, every little thing, was hundreds…no thousands of times bigger! Were it any of his friends they would have spouted nonsense, but Tsuna had common sense; he had shrunken! Tsuna clasped his chest in shock, he was shot in the heart and the Dying Will Bullet shrank him!!? Damn that Reborn! But at least he saw fit to put Tsuna back on his bed…that was a plus. “I guess Reborn’s bullet wasn’t a dud…”
“ACHOO!!!!!!!”
Good god if Tsuna wasn’t already on edge! Out of nowhere came this loud, typhoon of a sneeze that threatened to deafen the poor child. The shockwave from the sneeze knocked poor Tsuna onto his back, it came from behind him, so he managed to find the cause, and gasped.
He was not alone, there was someone on his bed, someone extremely attractive…
