Being a Spirit Detective Sucks.... Anime Shrink Interactive chapter 18 by copier · original author: tinylelouch

Long, dull, and lifeless; those were the three words Yusuke Urameshi would have used to describe his school life. His friend Kuwabara sat in the corner of the class asleep, drooling slightly, and his friend/girlfriend Keiko was beside him vigorously taking notes and keeping Yusuke awake. Here he was in the middle of class listening to some lady teaching about something she has no knowledge about, giving work...it was too much of a pain. In fact, he probably would have skipped school today if not for Keiko.

--------------------------------------------------------
That Morning

"Ugh what a pain...getting up early every morning sucks..." Yusuke yawned, the sun was barely even up. Beside him were his friends Kuwabara and Keiko. Like Yusuke Kuwabara was a guy who despised school and looked exhausted....but Keiko seemed as lively as ever; as well as slightly angry at Yusuke.

"Oh come on Yusuke! You've spent most of the school year fighting demons in tournaments, plots and whatever! Your Mom and Shizuru had to beg to the school for you not to get expelled...again! The least you can do is go to school once a month."

Yusuke groaned, "Speaking of once a month your attitude sa-" He got cut off by a clean slap from Keiko and a collision course with the ground.

Kuwabara bent over and helped him get up, "Man she outta be the Spirit Detective."

"Yeah...." Yusuke touched his cheek and winced at the stinging pain, but oddly soon grinned afterwards. "Why it looks like I have a medical emergency."

Kuwabara caught his drift and began grinning too, "I hear the arcade has medicine."

"Let's go."

"OH NO YOU DON'T!!" Keiko screamed, both guys turned around and looked at her. "You guys are coming to school or else!" The look in Keiko's face alone told them they should listen, she was not above telling Shizuru about Kuwabara bailing and she was more than enough for Yusuke. The two sighed.

---------------------------------------

And we ended up here.... God Yusuke was so tempted to just shoot a solid Spirit Gun at his teacher....but he'd behave for now. Least class would be over in a few minutes. Tap tap tap....something was knocking on something...but it wasn't the door it was...the window? He turned to see and a loud scream of surprise came out.

"Botan!!"

The pink kimono wearing girl smiled and waved from the otherside of the window, "Hey Yusuke. Head out here, I need to talk to you." It was the perfect excuse, Yusuke ran right on out of the class without so much as a word of explanation. In a couple seconds he was out front with Botan standing before him.

"What do ya want Botan? I swear to god if Koenma has another job for me he can ju-"

"I'm here to give you something Yusuke."

Yusuke blinked in slight surprise, "Give me something?"

Botan nodded, "Yeah, a new Spirit Detective tool." She rifled around in her kimono before pulling out what appeared to be a short knife. "The Spirit Knife! Guaranteed to weaken any enemy you use it on!"

Yusuke snatched it from her hand, it looked like a regular pocket knife. "This weakens demons? How?" Botan hopped on her broomstick and gave him a last look, "Just push the button!" And before Yusuke knew it she began to fly away.

"Hey wait!!!" But it was too late, Botan was gone. "Damn girl....still this is a tool?" Yusuke looked around the knife and found a small red button at the hilt, nothing else. "Aw screw it, lets see what this so called weapon does." Yusuke pushed the bottom and immediately a small beam of energy escaped the blades tip and hit Yusuke square in the face. "I really hate that girl..." Were the last words he said before the knife took effect.

It's effects were almost instant, the world...everything began growing larger at an astounding rate. They aren't getting bigger...I'm getting smaller!! The shrink went on and Yusuke nearly cursed at himself....but he didn't because a certain someone came as soon as the shrinking stopped...
