Deciding to keep Tsukune a little longer, Keito went to pick up her biwa and said, "Okay Tsukune, I'll make you a deal. I'm going to play you a little concert and I want you to honestly tell me how you like it. If you tell me that you at least liked it, then I'll let you live and you become my personal pet and I'll keep the fact that I've shrunken you between the two of us, it'll be our "little" secret. But if you don't like it.... Well at least you were honest to your last breath, also don't you even dare think about lying to me, I'll know that you are, and I'll just eat you anyway."
Tsukune gulped as he got the point, and for his sake he hoped that Keito was very good with her biwa.
Just as she was about to begin, Keito said, "Just so you know...I've never played in front of a audience before and this does count in your decision of how good I am. Added onto that, my duties in the Student Police have made it that I've been so busy, I might have gotten a little out of practice."
Tsukune gulped and thought, 'That's not very reassuring...' "Uh...if it helps, just close your eyes and focus on the music then...small enough to overlook anyways..."
The violette-haired girl actually snickered at that, then Keito began playing her biwa. Sitting down with the short-necked fretted lute, she began to strum the plectrum across the strings.
To Tsukune, it was surprising. As she played, Keito seemed to relax and her features seemed to develop a calming glow to them as she immersed herself in the music, seeming to become like an entierly different person from the way the human knew.
Even as her eyes drifted shut, the Jorōgumo's fingers and the pick went along the strings with practiced ease and he was surprised when three sets of long, spindly, yellow and black spider legs sprouted from her abdomen and, seemingly unconsciously, the spider legs reached over and took out a Koto and set it up, all seemingly automatically and independent of Keito's will.
As soon as the spider legs finished setting up the Paulownia wood instrument, with the exception of strings, yet Keito, without disrupting her rhythm on the biwa, shot out strands of webbing from her mouth like a Spitting Spider and her legs threaded them along the koto. Once that was done, the spider legs started strumming along in seeming automatic.
The gentle sounds blended beautifully with one another, sure they were both sting instruments, but the ways they were played so that the music had one instrument go for high pitch while the other went low, while occasionally meeting in the middle as they swapped tones...it was actually very classy.
Was this really the same person that had been part of the student police officers? The same girl that was ruthless and prone to employing violence, intimidation, and other immoral actions in order to further the Public Safety Commission's agenda, which was to extort Yōkai Academy's student body of money and impose their militant vision of law upon the school? He almost couldn't believe it!
After her concert for the shrunken human was finished, Keito looked at Tsukune with anticipation of her performance and asked, "Well, what did you think?"
Tsukune was now thinking really hard on how to tell Keito on what he thought of her personal concert she played for him and he knew that his truthful answer could either save his life, or kill him and in the end he came to a decision and said, "Keito, I think that your concert was...
