Dawn Forgot Her Slipper

Ash rolled off in his sleep and fell several inches off from the bed. The distance in his view from the height of the bed to the ground would most likely be several feet high. Though he was about to have a hard landing on the cold floor, something cushioned his fall. It was soft enough for him to slowly wake from his very brief nap.
"Hm? ...Uh, what?" Ash mumbled groggily.
He found himself on a fuzzy teal surface of something. He took a deep breath to energize, but his sense of smell caught a strange scent wafting around him. The scent was faint, but distinguishable.
"Breakfast already?" Ash asked himself, standing up. He got a better look of the object he was on. It wasn't Dawn's pillow, yet the smell belonged to her. It wasn't the soft aroma of her hair. "Uh-oh..."
Ash discovered that he was on Dawn's slipper. He saw the slightly grey imprint of her foot, along with five circular imprints of her toes in the covered and shaded toe section. That wasn't breakfast he was smelling. It was the lingering smell of Dawn's foot. Ash pretended to gag, not from the smell, but because he couldn't imagine himself smelling the young feet of his third female companion. That was just wrong, in retrospect.
"Aah! I forgot my slipper!" Dawn's voice yelled from the hallway. "No need to worry. I'll just run back and quickly get it!"
Ash panicked. He didn't know how Dawn would react if she discovered him in her missing slipper. It might give out horrible misunderstandings and such. Feeling the tremors of her rushing footsteps, Ash stumbled about on her slipper, occasionally getting a strong sniff of Dawn's bittersweet foot odor from tripping face first.
"Hm? ...Uh, what?" Ash mumbled groggily.
