If he was learning that she owned him, she'd have to play with (in Naruto's case the word was "torture") him less. Deciding she DIDN'T like that idea, Soi Fon started scheming on how to give her pet a little false hope of escape so she'd get to punish him.
"I never allow my prisoners to escape. Just accept my slipper is your new home from now on and we'll get along fine. I've already got an excuse so no one takes you from me." Soi Fon said.
