Quickly turning his head Ichigo saw Matsumoto's foot once again coming in, trying to squish him. Too shocked to move it was Naruto's quick reaction that saved him, literally in one second Naruto vanished, the next he was half a mile away with Ichigo's wrist in hand.
Staring suspicously at the arrancar Ichigo kept running, asking questions along the way. "Whats your name?"
Not taking his gaze away from the front Naruto replied, "Naruto, I'm an arrancar."
Ichigo showed no signs of surprise, in fact the only action he took was a quick glance back at Rangiku who in her drunken state had no idea where the 'bugs' went.
"What's your story?"
The arrancar chuckled, "We're on the run and you're asking me about my life?"
The shrunken shinigami shrugged, "I gotta know I if I can trust you."
Naruto turned his head, his bright blue eyes focused into Ichigo's brown. " It's too long for explanation, let's just say I've had it rough, and I'm looking for someone."
The arrancar stopped running, Ichigo did the same. "And your size?"
"Problem while looking." Naruto stated flatly, turning back in Matsumoto's direction. "We're gonna have to go back to her."
He was about to argue the point but before he did Ichigo turned around and saw the problem, the door, their only exit was blocked by Rangiku. He looked calm, hiding whatever nervousness he felt. "Someone's gonna have to be bait."
Naruto nodded, "Yeah....What do you think she'd do if she catches the bait?"
Ichigo shrugged, "While drunk? Who knows."
"Sober?"
Ichigo chuckled, "Who knows."
Like his Shinigami associate Naruto chuckled, "That's reassuring. But who's gonna take a hit for the team?"
The two stared at one another, an eerie wind blowing during their silence. Disrupting their moment the two ran to each other and comically started playing rock-paper-scissors. In perfect unison the two said, "1-2-3 GO! 1-2-3 GO!" Each round they played resulted in a tie until....
