Today seemed to drag on. You and your fellow teammates were bored senseless with the typical mundane routines of your village. Work was oddly scarce as of lately what with the tranquility that followed after the events of the last Chunin Exams. It was even worse considering that your sensei was taking vacation time away from you all. All that changed when your aunt and uncle called you into the Kage's shared office.
"Good morning you three. I know as of lately, things have been going slow for you all. So we called you up for a job." Lady 4th said to you and your team.
"So what the job? Guard someone? Guard something? Guard someplace? Fetch this thing? Kill this perso-
*Smack!* OW!" You said until you were interrupted by your teammate, Yumi Hokkyokusei, scolding you for your disrespect for your superior Kages, regardless of your relation to them.
"Forgive him Lady Fourth...Apparently boredom has eroded his manners..." Yumi said with chastising tone.
"Hard to erode what's barely there...HAHAHA!" Lord Seventh said with a heart chuckle.
"BAHAHAHA! Good one sir!" Your other teammate, Kenji Kōmyaku, laughed at your uncle's jab at your character.
Your aunt cleared her throat, as a cue to your uncle to cut the jokes and return to business.
"Well...Sorry to disappoint you all, but all we have is a convoy job at this moment." Lord Seventh said.
"Convoy job!?!" You and your team repeated in a dissatisfied manner.
"Come on! That's the bottom-of-the-barrel work! Most of the time the client sends their own people to guard it anyways!" You said in frustration.
"It's either that, or some proper weapons handling seminars for Genin-" Your aunt started to say.
"Convoy it is! Where to?" Your team interrupted in unison.
"We should just threaten anyone else who whines up a storm about no work with that..." Your uncle said to your aunt.
"You may be on to something..." Kafu seemingly agreeing."Lord Bakikage. Would you care to brief this team about the details pertaining their assignment?" Lady Kafu said to Lord Juhin.
"Of course, Lady Sentokage. I'm sure you three are all familiar with the protocols. This is a mostly normal shipment of weapons, tools, paper bombs, ration pills, and a handful of specialty items...Refrain from tampering with the cargo, you'll have a chest of emergency food and supplies, don't tamper with the special orders under any circumstances, use transformation jutsu when you settle for the nights, especially on the cargo, and you have two weeks to deliver...Oh! Almost forgot...This shipment is ment to arrive at the _________________ village...See you kids in a few!" Lord Seventh concluded the briefing with a salutation.
