Naruto gulped as Rangiku reached for him, intending to make him suffer for his deception. However, they both gasped because as soon as Rangiku had almost grabbed him, Rukia's arm lashed out and she gripped the lieutenant's wrist in a iron-hard vice-grip.
"If you harm so much as one hair on his head, I'll see to it you pay the price for it!" Rukia shouted at the busty Shinigami.
By now, Naruto had reverted back to his personality where he was considered a happy, carefree dope. He hadn't ment to scare Rukia, but she'd wanted honesty, and that ment exposing the feelings he'd kept bottled up from how nightmarish his past was. He eyed the two Shinigami wearily, subconsciously inching towards Rukia.
"Why are you...?" Rangiku asked. going into Shinigami form.
Rukia popped "Chappy" into her mouth and burst from her gigai.
"I became a Shinigami to make life better for others, the way he was that made me scream, I've HAD those exact same eyes!"
She drew her sword "Dance, Sode no Shirayuki!"
"Growl, Haineko!"
