"Thank you Kutsuu......" Rukia replied, a few nostalgic tears sliding down her cheeks.
The massive drops of salty liquid descended to Naruto, essentially acting like meteors to him. "Woah!" A loud splash told Naruto that a tear had landed and a miniature tidal wave roughly a foot tall to him was heading his way. Crossing her fingers in a handsign Naruto leapt up, the next instant water flooded where he stood and with out of character grace he landed on the water without a splash, standing on it.
"Careful!"
Pulling her head back so that any remaining tears wouldn't threaten to drown her little fan Rukia giggled, "Sorry, not used to having to protect a guy smaller than my toes."
Naruto shrugged, "I can take care of myself."
Rukia nodded once, "So....how did you become a fan of me and Orihime?"
The young ninja paled, Rukia gave him plenty to work with for her but he had no idea how Orihime fit into all of this, possibly something to do with her little spirits but there was no telling.
"I......just like what you two do...."
"Hmm....." Rukia leaned forward with a frown, any tears she once had were gone as she inspected her little fan. "That's an awfully vague answer....."
Beginning to break out in a cold sweat Naruto laughed nervously, "So? I.....am just that big of a fan of yours! I mean come on you are gorgeous!" Naruto felt his legs shaking, he was in trouble if Rukia didn't buy his act.
The gigantic girl blushed slightly and smiled, "Thank you but you're still avoiding the question.....or implication I suppose since I never really asked a question. So are you really a fan of me and Orihime?"
Fumbling a little bit Naruto kept up his lie, " Of course! I'm just nervous, I mean at my size both you and Orihime look absolutely beautiful!" Mentally Naruto was hitting himself, all he was doing was repeating essentially the same thing and doing a bad job of it at that!
Rukia wasn't buying the suck up manuever this time, "Just answer the question."
"Yes.....I love the powers you use along with Orihime's."
Narrowing her eyes Rukia used her free hand to raise a single finger, "If you're really my fan then what's my Zanpaktou's name?"
"Zanpaktou?" Naruto repeated, the term was unfamiliar, he was essentially screwed now. "I dunno....."
Rukia's eyes became increasingly wary, "I'll ask one more time, are you really a fan of me and Orihime? Lie and I swear to god I will join in with Matsumoto and torture you, hell I'll get Orihime and a bunch of other girls here!"
Naruto got so nervous he fell over, it was now or never. Lie and cover for Tatsuki, or tell the truth and potentially ruin Tatsuki's friendships just to save his own ass? The choice was a tough one but Naruto made it....
