Sakura sighed as she used a handkerchief to wipe the sweat off her brow. The humidity was slightly higher then expected and with the temperature already a tad bit high made for a weather forecast that was as Shikimaru would say rather troublesome for someone like Sakura who was running around town taking care of errands for Tsunade (Shizune was also sharing the same fate...).
While she was almost done Sakura exhaled softly as she took a short break resting in the shade projected from a nearby building.
For whatever reason she was surprised to not see Naruto around town. Usually the goofball of a blonde was dashing here and there, eating Ramen at Ichiraku's, or pestering someone to train with him if he couldn't find Kakahi or Jiraiya.
'Always on the move...' thought Sakura with a whimsical smile. It had taken a while but she had soften up just a bit on Naruto. After Sasuke's departure Sakura felt as if a hole had been craved into her very being but Naruto had shown her that for better or worse she still had him in her life. She wasn't alone and for that she was thankful. Sure he still pestered her from time to time but she had grown somewhat accustom to his antics.
Which is why she was surprised that she had yet to run into him considering she had been out in the streets all morning long...
Suddenly Sakura caught sight of the redheaded ninja, Tayuya. The pink-haired girl in truth had no real beef with the former Sound member, despite the fact that their villages had clashed with each other in the past.
Sakura even recalled a moment where she had decked a couple of boy ninjas that were giving Tayuya a hard time. The "punks" (a very mild way of describing what Tayuya had actually called them) were practically begging for a fight so the redhead could be incarcerated. Tayuya was just about to loose it when Sakura floored the apparent leader. After a quick tussle the boys fled screaming curses at Sakura. Tayuya had a rather difficult time showing her thanks but Sakura knew with the handshake the two had shared that the redhead was grateful.
Long story short, after that incident the two had become something of acquaintances. Sakura respected Tayuya's strength and like with Naruto could understand the outcast feel she must feel. Although she wasn't sure what Tayuya saw in her causing Sakura to chuckle.
Curious as to what the other girl was up to Sakura sprung to her feet and sprinted over in Tayuya's direction.
"Tayuya!"
The redheaded girl blinked in surprise as she shifted her vision slightly and spotted Sakura heading toward her. The pink-haired girl waved with her free hand while carrying what appeared to be a list in the other.
"Yo" stated Tayuya rather casually just as Sakura reached her.
"The old bat have you working again, huh?" Tayuya stated as she eyed the object in Sakura's hand.
"Ahahaha...yeah something like that. Not sure if she'd appreciate the name though she already gets on Naruto's case when he calls her grandma." said Sakura with a mild chuckle.
Speaking of Naruto though...
