Sakura smiled softly at her shrunken teammate. " Let's go see Tsunade, surely she'll have some sort of a means to help you."
It took a moment for Naruto to reply. Both he and Sakura knew that Tsunade was without a doubt the best medical ninja of the age, but they also knew that she was probably the moodiest ninja too. On more than one occasion Tsunade had let her temper control her and well...whatever town she was in happened to suffer. Now Naruto, Konoha's greatest mischief maker, at a mere couple inches tall at best was going to go see her. Naruto wasn't sure if Tsunade would make him normal again, or make him a slave; it was about a fifty-fifty chance.
" I'm not sure....." He finally replied nervously, images of the various tortures Tsunade could do to him lingering in his mind.
The pink haired ninja smiled nervously. " I agree it is risky but it's best we go,"
"Says who?" The blonde maverick asked defiantly.
Wearing a deviant smirk Sakura leaned forward so her lips were directly before the ninja in her palm. "Says the girl who's over a hundred times your size. The girl who's toes,fingers, and pretty much everything can whip you like a doll."
For a moment Naruto saw Sakura's resemblance to Tsunade and realized it would be best to obey the giantess; lest he deals with two evil giantess's instead of one. "Sure thing Sakura...." His face was pale as if he saw a ghost.
All traces of her darker side vanishing in an instant Sakura smiled kindly, "Alrighty then let's go!" Raising her head back up Sakura started calmly strolling to the Hokage Mansion. where Tsunade would surely be. Naruto remained in her open palm, silent as he stared at the massive building coming closer and closer. It was almost like the path to death row, time slowing to a halt, Naruto's inner nervousness growing wildly; it wasn't certain Tsunade would be cruel to him but....it was likely. All Naruto could do was pray Tsunade would just fix him and not see this as a shot for some personal payback.
Sakura herself was growing unsure with each passing second, the extensive training she had gone through with the Hokage left a deep impression. She knew even better than Naruto what Tsunade was capable of; both personally and medically. Finally the time came, the large doors of the Hokage Mansion were before the two and slowly Sakura used her free hand to open it.
Upon entering Sakura walked to a desk with a young man tending to some paperwork, as soon as he saw Sakura he stood up. "Hey Sakura, here to see the Hokage for some advice again?"
Clenching her fist so Naruto was hidden Sakura replied cordially. "You could say that...where is she?"
The young man pointed to his left, leading to a hallway. " She should be in her office...but you know her."
Chuckling Sakura nodded and began walking through the hall, "Thanks" Sakura brought Naruto back before her and into view as she rushed to the Hokage office. Taking a deep breath she said, " Let's go." Opening the door without so much as a knock Sakura entered, eyes searching for Tsunade. There was someone at the desk but it wasn't the voluptous Hokage. It was her assistant and living conscience Shizune.
Too busy with the infuriating load of paperwork Tsunade had Shizune didn't even raise an eye. "Hey Sakura, you need something?"
"I need to see Tsunade."
Shizune raised her eyes, Sakura's serious tone of voice grasping her attention. In clear sight she caught Naruto in her open palm, and she about fell over. Rushing to Sakura she gasped out, "Is that N-Naruto?"
Solemnly the Pink Haired Kunoichi nodded, "Yes, I needed to see if Tsunade could fix him."
Still catching herself Shizune calmed down quite a bit, "I see...well sorry to say this Sakura but there's no telling when Tsunade will be back. She snuck off again and I already sent about a dozen Jounins out for her. They could find her in a couple minutes to maybe even a couple days."
"DAYS?!" Naruto screamed, finally jumping into the conversation. "I don't have days!"
"And neither do I." Sakura piped in. " I have a lot of things to do."
Shizune thought for a moment, " If it's that much of a problem why not leave Naruto with me? I could hold on to him until Tsunade comes back."
Naruto almost leapt for joy, compared to Sakura and Tsunade Shizune was literally nothing. She'd be the kind caring angel whereas Tsunade could be...well the devil. He turned around to Sakura, "Let's do it."
Sakura appeared uneasy, " I think.....
