The hunter Type-Moon Size Interactive chapter 5 by copier · original author: zikade

Dim lights bathed the park in their harsh glow as Shiki walked down the darkened path. He had come here in the middle of the night to meet with Arcueid, but it seems he had arrived a bit early, as the white princess was nowhere to be found. She was always harping on him to show up on time for their little late-night rendezvous, so it was unusual that she wasn’t greeting him with her usual crooked smile. Shiki just hoped she wasn’t off causing trouble somewhere. After all, the whole purpose for this meet-up was so they can go hunt the vampire that has been ravishing the town.

Sighing, he decided to sit down on a nearby bench to wait. Before he can even take another step, however, he was flung forward as if he was hit from behind by a truck. Sent sprawling, he gulped in air frantically. Strangely, besides being out of breath, he didn’t feel any major injuries. But what could suddenly throw him through the air like that? A wave of fear washed through Shiki’s body as he imagined being torn apart by a vampire before he could even grab his knife. As it is, without Arcueid by his side, he felt helpless.

Fortunately, no follow-up attack yet ravaged his prone body, but as he drew himself to his feet, he felt a tremor shake him to his very core. It was followed by another, and another, threatening to knock Shiki on his rear. Looking around for the massive creature that must be making these earthquakes, he notices that everything seems… different. Larger. The streetlamps stretch upwards to infinity, and the bench that he almost sat on is now taller than the highest tree. Being the size of a bug will certainly make him easy prey for even the weakest vampire.

As he reaches for his knife, an impossibly tall figure strides into view, blocking out the flickering streetlights. This person was wearing long black robes and high-laced boots, which Shiki couldn’t help but think looked really cool. As he craned his neck upward, he saw that this person had short blue hair and blue eyes, just like Ciel-senpai at school, but lacking her trademark glasses. And, unlike his spunky upperclassman, this person had an icy countenance, looking more like a trained killer than a schoolgirl. She continued to walk towards Shiki until he was almost flattened under her boots, then abruptly stopped.

“These shrinking swords really work. I will have to thank the Church,” the robed woman said, glancing at the razor-sharp blades between the fingers of her right hand. The blades disappeared in a cloud of sparks as she turned her stony gaze on Shiki. “Do not be afraid, Tohno-kun. This is for your own good,” she said, as she bent down and extended her hand toward Shiki. Paralyzed by fear, Shiki stood stock-still as the woman’s fingers extended like talons, blocking out even the light of the full moon overhead. Enveloped by darkness, he squeezed his eyes shut as her hand closed around him tightly. Her skin was soft and warm, almost a pleasant feeling against the chilly night air. He squeezed his eyes as she stood up and lifted him to eye level. Shiki sat on his rear as he fingers uncurled, leaving him staring up into her expressionless blue eyes.

“Ciel-senpai, is that you? Why are you doing this?” Shiki asked, dumbfounded. “I cannot allow you to go gallivanting around with that princess, Tohno-kun. It is far too dangerous for a mere human like you,” she explained, her words as icy as her stare.

“But you’ve got it all wrong! Arc isn’t a bad person! And anyway, how did I end up like this?” Shiki protested. Without answering, the scary Ciel-like person turned her head towards the entrance to the park. “There’s no time to explain. It seems the princess has arrived,” she said, turning back towards Shiki. “We must leave immediately. Forgive me, Tohno-kun, but these garments have no pockets.”

Shiki wondered what she was apologizing for, until her hand slowly approached her opening mouth. He tried to scramble up her fingers to get away from her gaping maw, but she tipped her hand until he was sliding down her palm. Ciel’s tongue emerged to greet him, and Shiki tumbled face-first into the damp muscle. His fingers clawed for purchase on the wet tongue as Ciel drew it back into her mouth. The moonlit park disappeared as Shiki passed under her nose and into the steaming cavern. Gleaming white teeth surrounded him, even more frightening than any of the beasts that spawned from Chaos. The tongue writhed underneath him, denying him any chance of a steady foothold. He lay spread-eagle on the pink muscle, right before Ciel’s lips clamped shut, sealing Shiki inside a sopping-wet, hellishly hot prison. He held onto the tongue for dear life like a bucking bronco as Ciel began running along rooftops on her way back to her apartment. Meanwhile, the saliva level was rising dangerously high inside her mouth. Shiki was forced to swallow gallons of the stuff as he desperately tried to choke down some air in his dank hell. Even her saliva tasted like curry!

Shiki was on the verge of passing out when an influx of light and cool air washed over him. Sticking two fingers inside of her mouth, Ciel roughly plucked Shiki off her tongue and placed him on the nightstand next to her bed. Now utterly drenched in her stinking saliva, Shiki was simply glad his glasses were indestructible. As he wiped them off, he took a look around Ciel’s apartment. The small dwelling was sparsely furnished, but it looked comfortable enough.

“I shrank you because it’s easier to protect you like this. You can stay here until I defeat the vampire, Tohno-kun. There’s no need for you to get involved in this battle,” Ciel said.

“It’s not like I can fight at this size, anyway. But won’t Arc come looking for me?”

“I’ve placed a barrier on this building that will conceal your presence from the princess. She can search the whole world if she wants, she’ll never find you here” she says dismissively. “I’ll tell your sister that you’ll be away for a while as well, so don’t worry about that.”

“Man, I can’t even go to school like this, either,” Shiki pouts, angrily kicking an alarm clock. “I hope Arihiko will survive without me.”

“I’ll keep an eye on him, Tohno-kun,” Ciel said with a mischievous smile. It seemed like some of her normal personality was starting to show through. Shiki blushed as his stomach growled. It was now the wee hours of the morning, and many hours since he ate Kohaku’s delicious dinner. But he was also plastered with rank, curry-stained saliva and could really use a bath.
