A massive force pressing into your body stirred you into consciousness. You groaned, not opening your eyes immediately. Your entire body ached and you remembered the bus. You were laying on your stomach on some kind of rough fabric. You were about to roll over when the force pressed down on you again, pushing you into whatever this giving surface was.
"Cris, quit poking him. What're you trying to do, squish him?" A familiar voice whispered from above. Jaz? You started to roll over now to see where her voice was coming from.
"Sorry! He's just so cute like this and-"
"Hold on. I think he's waking up." You opened your eyes to see Jaz's enormous face looming over you. On either side of her Cris and Kelly leaned in curiously. You rub your eyes to make sure it wasn't a dream. Their humongous faces would have dwarfed Mt. Rushmore. You looked down and realized you were on Jaz's huge lap or thigh anyway. The large plateau of blue jean was just one in a row of rolling legs. Jaz's torso stretched above you like a towering cliff face. You were smaller than ever.
"What happened? Where are we?" You called up.
"Well Lu, you managed to get hit by a bus, some seniors grabbed you and killed you by accident, you shrunk down to like half an inch tall, 'slept' through school in Diana's locker, and now we're in Lankin's car." Jaz said matter-of-factly. You turned around to see that you were indeed in a car. Even the most basic details like the seats and the pine tree air-freshener seemed alien. From the front and passenger seats Lankin and Diana gave concerned looks.
Your mind swam with everything Jaz just said. Most unbelievable was your size. Half an inch? You weren't much bigger than a bug. Looking at Cris, you remembered your entire body being pressed down. You realized at this size she, or anyone else for that matter, could probably squish you under the pad of their thumb. Frightened by the thought, you staggered backward a bit. Your friends seemed to notice your distress.
"Lu, relax." Jaz reached out an enormous hand, making you even more anxious. You retreated even faster. Kelly and Cris tried to help console you, to no avail. In an effort to evade Jaz's tree-like fingers, you side-stepped, only to loose your balance and tumble down the side of her leg. You rolled uncontrollably until you hit the narrow strip of seat at the bottom of the valley between her thighs. Before you could scramble away two giant fingers pinched your ankle with surprising caution. Quickly, you were lifted to Jaz's face.
"Lu, I know this must be crazy but don't freak out on me. You're safe with us." Jaz said. She gave you a reassuring smirk, which you would have thought was impossible. Despite your relief, you were getting dizzy being upside-down for this long.
"Awww he's blushing." Cris said, squinting at your tiny face.
"No, I think that's just the blood rushing to his head." Kelly said with a smirk.
"Oh, sorry Lu!" Jaz dropped you back on her lap.
"It's okay." You said still a bit disoriented, "Where are we going anyway?"
