Maryanne takes her glass to her mouth and starts to drink.
Tim and Samantha are taken to her mouth by a strong current, and as soon as they enter her mouth it is clear that they won't make it.
Maryanne then swallows them whole and they enter her stomach.
She will never know she swallowed the little Tim and Samantha, as she wasn't even bothered by what is going down her throat.
What we know is that little Samantha and Tim survived for a mere 2 minutes, until her stomach acids destroyed them.
