"The digestion begins when a food enters your mouth. There, your teeth break down the food and your tongue mixes it with saliva. Saliva breaks down carbohydrates, from large and complex molecules to much smaller ones. Then, gulp! The food begins its journey through your body. There is a slide for foods called esophagus, which leads to your stomach. It takes around 30 seconds for your food to enter your stomach after it being swallowed. The stomach is a muscular sac, which mixes the food with liquid inside it. That liquid is what you know as stomach acid, but it has more thing than just that. It consists enzymes to break proteins into polypeptides, as well as the hydrochloric acid for killing germs and activating the enzyme. After around 4 hours in stomach, the food moves to your small intestine. There, the real digestion begins. Small intestine breaks down all 3 major nutrients and absorbs them into your blood. It plays a major role in digestion, including breaking down nutrients and taking them into your body and absorbing water, too. When the food reaches the end of your small intestine after 6 to 8 hours, remaining food is now considered as waste, so your body prepares to get rid of them. Now the wastes enter your large intestine. Large intestine doesn't have many roles in the whole process; it just stores remaining substances and absorbs some extra water from it. However, there are secret dwellers in your large intestine. Germs living in your large intestine breaks down remaining nutrients on their own. They create gases as a byproduct and release them into your large intestine. Anyway, after experiencing the digestive process, useless products are gathered inside your large intestine. They eventually leave your body after around 12 hours. This makes up total 24 hours for foods to come out from our bodies."
Julia Greatjer was giving a lecture to students. She was a science teacher in highschool, and this day she had a class on digestion. She explained brief summary of digestion first. She thought it would be better for students to understand the whole process first, and move on to details.
"So you're telling me that it takes a day for food to become our poop?" Kelly asked.
"That's right, it would take nearly 24 hours for one process of digestion to finish." Julia replied.
"Oh, then yesterday's Mexican lunch must be stored inside your large intestine, Miss Greatjer." Candice said in a teasing tone.
Julia blushed a little as she thought about yesterday's lunch. School offered students and teachers special Mexican meals, and she ate so much tacos that her stomach nearly hurt. She was really hungry back then.
"Great applications, Candice... As she said, lunch I ate yesterday have gone through digestion. Regarding the time, we can guess that the meal is now inside my large intestine. To add a little, the remaining waste of those tacos are in a part of the large intestine, called descending colon. It is located in my left belly, from my perspective. Take a look. Here...(She pointed her belly) It continues from the horizontal section named transverse colon, and connects to the rectum. Foods are slowly getting dehydrated in there, getting ready to leave my body, and also-"
Suddenly, Julia's belly greatly rumbled. She could feel her gas move through her colon. Moving gas made noises loud enough for whole class to hear. She continued her words, but everyone could notice she was greatly embarrassed.
"-producing gases while my large intestine taking care of them."
Julia's belly kept letting out gurgling noises. She used microphone so that everyone could hear her voice, but this time it amplified the sound from her belly, making every movements noticable.
"Teacher, why don't you put your microphone near your belly? Then we will be able to hear every gas movements from your gas-filled large intestine." Melissa asked.
"Well, I'm pretty much sure this will increase your interests on today's lesson..." Julia accepted Melissa's proposal, though she knew it meant to tease her. Whole class soon began to hear all gurgles and groans from their teacher's large intestine. Someone even laughed, watching Julia's face turning red.

Tim and Tom were still inside Julia Greatjer's belly. Their efforts to open her anus failed, so they just had to wait inside her tight, smelly rectum. As they could hear every conversation from outside, they got informed that everyone is listening to Julia's belly noises.
"Hey Tom, they're listening to Julia's belly!"
"So what?"
"We might get noticed if we shout loud enough! We must grab this chance!"
"I'm not sure..."
"Let's just give it a try."
So they started to yell as loud as they could. Luckily, the microphone amplified:
"Help! We are stuck inside your belly!"

The class fell in complete chaos. They just heard a voice from the speaker, which got the sound from the microphone, and it was right on their teacher's belly. Julia herself was also greatly confused. After hearing that voice for the third time, she just said, "What is that voice?" Then the voiced changed. "We are your students, Tim and Tom! We accidentally got eaten by you, and now we are at the end of your large intestine! Please help!" Now the class began to understand the situation. Students giggled as their teacher replied to them: "Alright, I got your situation. However, I think you can help me do today's lesson... You might have heard it, but today I'm talking about the digestive system. I think you have your phones, so please video call me. This can be a great opportunity for those who are curious about the large intestine!"
A moment later, Julia's phone rang. She couldn't believe this, but she actually got a video call from inside her body. She quickly connected her phone to the classroon TV. Soon, there appeared Tim and Tom's face, with a background no student has ever seen. Behind them, there was a huge wrinkled hole glistening in pink. "That must be her butthole!" One of the boys exclaimed.
"Hi Tim and Tom, are you OK down there?" Julia started to talk with the boys.
"Fine... I guess... here is safe enough not to die very soon. But, as you can see here, this place is full of your Mexican poop and gas! It smells just horrible!"
"Now, class, please focus on the environment in the video. They are now inside my rectum, which is the last place food goes through. Rectum leads to anus... You can see mine there, and it is normally concealed. It openes when there is something to pass through it. Let's look at my anus together. You can see it's closed shut now, even though I'm not consciously clenching it. However, when something enters my rectum and wants to go out-" Julia used her muscles to intentionally push her gas out. Students could watch and hear what was going on inside their teacher's body. With quiet rumbles, her rectum bulged up with gas. Then the giant anus opened up, revealing her white underwear, and let her gas out with a small *toot*. Her anus instantly closed after she farted. "-my anus will open up and let them pass. However, we can control whether we would let things out or not. I think I can show you that later. Now, Tim, please go deeper from my anus. We'll investigate further about the large intestine."
"Seriously? There are lots of poop plies lying there!" Tom yelled.
"That's what I want to show. Please go deeper." Tim and Tom had no choice but to go back into their teacher's colon.
"OK, so let me explain. Tim and Tom are now at the beginning of my large intestine. There is a sphincter connected to my small intestine. You see the brown liquid pouring down? That is the mixture of food remains I ate for last dinner. When foods first enter my large intestine, they will be gathered here, which is called cecum. Then my large intestine will make a move called peristalsis to push that waste up. Unfortunately, large intestine is active for a short time, and it works very slowly. So I won't be able to show you the movement. Tim, please climb upward." Julia told to students.
"OK, but as this place is so high, it will take a while." They answered.
"After cecum, waste is pushed up through ascending colon. It is the long vertical part that Tim and Tom is now passing through. You might know by now, the part between the cecum and the rectum is called colon. Waste will spend a lot of time in there." Julia explained while Tim and Tom were climbing up her ascending colon.
"Teacher, we finished climbing."
"Alright. Class, as you see in TV, there is a horizontal section after ascending colon. This is the transverse colon. Oh, and can you see those brown piles? Can you think what it is?" Julia asked.
"They must be your waste, but why are those shapeless?" Roxanne asked.
"You got the point. The form of that waste piles tells us that they are not dehydrated enough. You can see they are watery, almost like a liquid. It means they spent less time than other foods, so I must have eaten them between yesterday's lunch and dinner. To add a little, I ate a lot of beans yesterday. They surely are producing great amount of gas. See those gas bubbles in that brown pool? They are released by bacteria. Tim, please move closer to it."
"So this is the remains of your bean snack? Eww, it smells like fart!"
"Haha, sure because the gas produced in my large intestine becomes my fart. But we can talk that part later... Let's move on to the next part."
Tim and Tom were afraid of that next part. They had to climb down, and one accident could lead to disgusting result.
"Tim and Tom are now in my descending colon. Can you point the camere down? Good, and we finally see that big brown mound. After being dehydrated, wastes are gathered into semi-solid objects like you see now. However, the waste in the descending colon still has alot of water than this. They move further toward the exit and gets dried more. You'll know what I mean when Tim and Tom reach the floor."
*Glooorp*
Julia's belly made a gurgling noise. The video showed her large intestine vibrate.
