The rest of the school day went by in a hazy blur for Blake. There were lessons, there was chatting, there was lunch, but there was hardly any difference between them. He was stuck as a living bit of fat on Jade's belly, his magical knowledge was now Jade's magical knowledge, and he couldn't even speak because she had taken away his mouth! All he could do was be pushed around by the fleshy sacs surrounding him and listen to all the gurgling and rumbling from his sister's stomach.
Well, there was one other thing Blake could do in the confines of Jade's belly. He could think. It didn't get him any closer to getting his memories or his old body back, but it was something to focus on besides the sounds of his sister's stomach. At first, he thought about the unfairness of this whole situation. After all, he let Jade eat him in order to help her and she was keeping him in her belly for longer than she should have been and taking everything away from him! What kind of sister did that?
Then Blake couldn't help but wonder if Jade had another reason for eating him and keeping him in her belly. He wished he could speak so that he could ask her and find out, but even squirming to get her attention displeased her and she was already upset with him. He didn't want her to slap him or poke him and he certainly didn't want her to absorb the rest of his body. More than anything, he wanted to apologise to her and patch up their relationship. There had to be something he could do to make her feel better.
Throughout the day, Blake also found himself thinking about Jade's belly a lot. The constant noises it made when it digested food and demanded more food meant it was hard not to. He didn't like being stuck in there, completely powerless and at his sister's mercy. But he never meant to insult her belly. Not just because he didn't want to hurt her, but also because, from the outside, it looked good. Jade liked wearing her crop top so Blake often ended up seeing her belly. Sometimes it was fairly flat, sometimes it was a bit pudgy, and sometimes it was bloated from her latest meal, but no matter what, it was always nice to look at. If only Blake could get her to understand that.
"Hey, fun fact, Blake," Jade said all of a sudden while on her way home. "I can read your thoughts even if I don't absorb them."
Blake's thoughts immediately became dominated by guilt, terror, and shame. Now his sister knew how he felt about her belly. He couldn't even claim that he was just being nice because he hadn't been aware of Jade reading his mind while he was thinking those things. He could only hope that she wouldn't be mad at him over it.
