Blake slowly awoke from his prior blackout, groggily rubbing his aching noggin. It took him a little while to adjust to his surroundings, but once he did, the young man noticed that he was atop a smooth, wooden surface. A dresser, perhaps. Next to him was a big plastic wrapper containing an uneaten fortune cookie, and hanging from the ceiling above were a few paper lanterns. Everything looked much bigger than Blake remembered…

Realization dawned in seconds: he had been shrunken to an inch tall, just as the ghosts had warned him!

Just then, the sound of a doorknob turning caught Blake off-guard. The tiny mage’s eyes widened as he saw a giantess open the door and enter the room - one that he recognized. Her pale skin, brown hair, slim build, and attire in light shades of blue had turned many heads. This person was none other than Cyan Fengbao, the girl Blake had been crushing on since high school! Judging from the chilly aura she was giving off, Blake figured that Cyan was also capable of magic (though he didn’t feel ready to reveal that knowledge to her).

A mix of excitement and nervousness overwhelmed the mage’s mind; did he dare make his presence known? Or was he better off hiding away?
