It was a peaceful, clear summer day in New Opal. While most people around Blake Heart’s age were enjoying the weather outside, the young man himself was relaxing in his room and playing Metroid Dread on his Nintendo Switch. Just as Blake was about to defeat a powerful boss with proper spacing, a sudden jolt of magical energy leaked out of his spellbook, zapping the mage in his back and leading to a rather painful blackout.
When he awoke again, Blake was shocked to find himself on the metallic floor of what looked to be a gigantic starship. The mage didn't recall ever redesigning his dorm into a science-fiction convention. As he recovered from his grogginess, he recognized this location as the space-cruising gunship of Samus Aran, greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy!
"Shit..!" Blake cursed his luck. "I've been shrunken and teleported into the Metroid universe! How am I supposed to get back home now?"
Just then, the spaceship's door opened, and in walked a blonde-haired giantess wearing an orange sports bra, with matching shorts and heeled boots. Blake quickly recognized the woman as none other than Samus herself! And admittedly, she was rather attractive in her two-piece Zero Suit...the tiny mage couldn't help blushing a deep red. Maybe it was best for him to stay hidden --
"Be still."
...or, maybe not.
Blake was too afraid to move as Samus approached his current location, her massive heel stopping dangerously close to his location -- had he been any closer, he might've gotten crushed into a lifeless stain! But to the mage's surprise, the towering bounty hunter gently plucked him up with one hand and raised his puny form to eye level.
"You don't look like any of the alien menaces I've fought in my lifetime. Who are you?" Samus asked the shrunken person on her palm.
"My name's Blake," the mage replied. "I'm not from around here, but I somehow ended up here and don't know how to get back home. Can you help me, miss..?"
"Samus," the bounty hunter introduced herself. "I do feel an obligation to help others in need, but for the time being, I'll have to hide you from my superiors. I'd better keep you..."
