The African Mammals exhibit seemed like a good starting point. The moment you entered, the scent of the savannah filled your nostrils, a mix of dry grass and faint animal musk. The path was lined with lush foliage, the air thick with heat and the distant calls of exotic birds. You saw a group of anthro lions lounging in the shade of an artificial tree, their majestic manes fluttering in the artificial breeze. A few of them had humans in their company, who were either stroking their fur or lying against them, looking utterly content. You couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy.
As you moved further in, you spotted a giraffe bending down to take a drink from a watering hole. Her neck was elongated, reaching for the water with the grace of a ballet dancer, her spots a mesmerizing pattern against her golden fur. Her human partner looked up at you with a smile, noticing your gaze. "Isn't she just gorgeous?" they exclaimed, patting the giraffe's rear affectionately. You nodded, swallowing the lump in your throat as you watched the gentle interaction.
Next, you stumbled upon a herd of anthro zebras, their stripes stark against their otherwise human-like forms. One zebra was playing with a young child, allowing the little human to tug at their tail while they laughed. The child's parent, a zebra themselves, watched on with a proud smile. You felt a strange warmth in your chest, seeing families of different species interact so freely. It was like nothing you'd ever seen before, and yet, it felt oddly... natural.
The sound of trumpeting grew louder as you approached the elephant enclosure. There, a pair of anthro elephants played a game of tug-of-war with a thick rope, their human companions cheering them on. Their massive, muscular bodies flexed with each tug, their human partners looking positively minuscule by comparison. The strength and size of these creatures was something to behold, and the way they interacted with the humans, so playfully and gently, was fascinating.
Moving on, you came across a clearing where a group of anthro gazelles were performing a synchronized dance routine. Their movements were fluid, almost otherworldly, and their grace was hypnotizing. The crowd clapped along, and you found yourself doing the same, unable to tear your eyes away from the mesmerizing spectacle. As the dance came to an end, the gazelles took a bow, and the humans around you applauded, some even throwing small treats into the enclosure. The gazelles picked them up with their nimble hooves, popping them into their mouths with cheerful giggles.
The path then led you to the lion's den. The king of the jungle himself, an anthro lion, sat on a throne-like rock, his human companion leaning against his paw, whispering something into his ear. The lion's expression was one of amusement, his tail swishing lazily behind him. His mane was a glorious shade of gold, and his eyes, when they met yours, held a spark of intelligence that was eerily human. You felt a strange kinship with these creatures, as if you were looking at a reflection of yourself, yet so wildly different.
Which Anthro do you go meet?
