A Bright Morning Your One and Only Chance (Mantis World) chapter 2 by Toms Tiny Emporium

As you finish your meal, you decide that you will head out and celebrate your birthday properly. You comb your hair, put on some sneakers, and head out into the world. 

The sun is shining bright as it creeps up the sky, birds are singing as a fresh breeze rolls through. Closing the door, you take a look around the neighborhood. A light scent of chlorine wafts over from across the street. Behind the short fence you could see Betty tanning topless. You decide to stare a bit before bringing yourself back to reality. 

Betty was an option, but so was your doting pervert of an aunt, it would be rude not to visit her on this special day. There was also the night club Jennifer spoke about, the only one in town. Even if you didn't want to volunteer to be danced on by drunk women, you could go there to enjoy some booze and try to meet a woman. Shame that it was only morning. Regardless, you'd have to go into town, and there are plenty of opportunities there. 

Alternatively, there are a few locations  guaranteed to have someone. The local park is always open and the beach would be a perfect place to meet someone. 

After standing in the front yard and considering your options, your phone goes off. Checking it, it's a message from Sarah, its a picture of you just standing in the front yard. Looking back, you see her sitting in the living room, feet kicked up, looking at you. She smiles and gives a little wave to you.
