"Unf! Cipha! You'll never get away with this!" claimed the once-superhero, Xor.
"Oh, but I already have," Cipha replied, indulging herself slightly within the cliche. Unlike most supervillains, she had definitively won beyond any stretch of the imagination. Her superpower-draining device was an overnight success, with Xor being restrained by mere security guards despite once being capable of lifting cruise ships with his hands.
Her bright white eyes reflected the honeyed sheen of pure power churning within the machine—her machine. She pressed her hands up against the viewing glass like an eager child to a shop's window, watching as the pure power writhed and contorted, looking for a host to claim ownership of it. She had done her homework, the power's effect depended solely on what the user wished of it. Most superheroes wasted their power on arbitration. Flight, superspeed, superstrength, invisibility, none of those even came close to the obvious peak of power—size.
The ability to grow one's size, Cipha had determined without a shadow of a doubt that it was the definitive superpower to have. Superspeed? Just one step and you're there. Flight? Just lift your hand and you've got what you needed. Superstrength? An absentminded flick of one's toe would be more than enough strength at her ideal size. Invisibility? Well... okay, maybe not that one.
But the amount of power to artificially achieve the size she wanted would require an astronomical amount of power, an amount of power that just so happened to be achievable if she drained every single superhero on this pathetically cheerful planet. Now the event horizon of Cipha's domination was upon this world. She was ready to ascend beyond the limits thought possible and conquer everything. Soon, the world would be little more than a gumball to her.
Xor was forced to watch as Cipha undid the latch on her lacy dress, dropping the singular garment down to a ring around her feet, which she promptly stepped out of. Walking towards the machine in the nude, she ascended a ladder with a sensual hip sway. Once at the top, she leapt into the machine like one of her many private pools.
The golden syrup flowed around her, seeping into her pores as her entire body became one with the power. Her physical form was reduced to that of pure white, a silhouette of her hourglass figure that was almost blinding to the eyes. Her limbs thrust outwards, her body shaking and stuttering as the overwhelming amount of pure power filled up every inch of her body.
There shouldn't have been enough space for all the magic to flow within Cipha, so she simply made more room. The blinding outline of her form expanded upwards and outwards with grace, retaining her flawlessly beautiful form as she grew to unparalleled heights.
Four meters... sixteen meters... Two hundred and fifty six meters... Sixty five thousand five hundred and thirty six meters. She had effortlessly surpassed the tallest building in the world 64,000 meters ago and that was a hesitant estimate. Even though she had long since decimated her foes from the sheer rapid expansion of her heavenly form, there was more growth to be had yet. She hadn't even broken the atmosphere yet! Some champion of the world she'd be if she couldn't even hold the earth like a trophy for all her hard work!
She continued to expand until she breached the limits of earth, her breasts surpassing the iron-bound barrier between humankind and no man's land mere seconds before the delightfully toned outline of her tummy.
Cipha's enlarged exhalation of carbon dioxide filled the vacuum of space around her. Her plush lips quivered at the slight chill of sub-zero temperatures, as that was her only reaction to them. Goosebumps were not even generated, Cipha had all but conquered the uncaring, inhospitable nature of the universe.
The tyrannical woman watched with glee as the earth before her continued to shrink. One second it was the size of a beach ball to her, the next it was the size of an orange. Once the growing began to reach the end of its natural charted S-curve, the Earth that Cipha once called home to was no larger than a meager marble. If she were to carelessly apply pressure to her index finger or thumb, humanity would be no more. The once-superheroes drained of any ability to fight back. The fearless leaders cowering in fear beneath their desks, recreating the useless Nuclear Armageddon techniques designed to give children a false sense of security. The Astronauts on the ISS were getting quite the spectacular view of her bountiful bosom.
A wide smile grew upon her face as the light seceded, revealing Cipha to still be the same devilish, beautiful woman only several thousand magnitudes taller. She held up the grape-sized earth to her face, feeling its rough texture within her hand.
A smirk grew upon the supervillain's face. It was true—one could not see the great wall of China from space! Oh well, she couldn't see any of the horrified faces of her captive population, but she knew with certainty that they all could see her. She blocked out the sun, yet her radiant brightness allowed them the same luminescence they needed to survive.
She had done it.
Cipha had won, definitively and absolutely.
Life was good. Cipha was perfect.
But life was not good forever. Perfection never lasted. Once the initial elation of achieving her lifelong dream had worn off, a suspicious, creeping feeling replaced it.
Something was... wrong. What was this growing sense of dread and nausea? It was as if she were on a roller coaster without ever realizing it until now.
Then, Space around her unraveled as if it were mere fiction, the universe that she would have called home dissolving before her very eyes. What it was replaced with was borderline surreal. Cipha was expecting a sight resembling those foretold by scriptures, a world of gods and pleasures rewarding her for ascending to their level, yet what she saw instead was more of the same.
It was... earth. She was back on earth. It wasn't her earth, wherever she was didn't seem to resemble any known location and, more importantly, her earth was still firmly squeezed between her fingertips. None of this made sense.
Cipha looked around in a panic, only to see average, everyday pedestrians showing her concerned glances on their daily commutes. To them, she was just some strange yet average-sized naked woman that had appeared out of nowhere, not worth being late to work over.
The woman behind her running a street vendor was not so forgiving.
"Christ, lady! Where did you even come from? Put some damn clothes on! You're gonna scare away my customers!"
Cipha turned around and froze like a deer in headlights. The street vendor was peddling a very... particular item. Within the two wooden stalls in front of her, stacked in a stretched pyramid shape like any other fruit, was a smorgasbord of Earths of every shape and size.
But that was not the most horrific part. Sitting on a nearby plate were several tiny slices of earths, laid out in an aesthetically pleasing arrangement resembling a blooming onion. The phrase "free samples" was written in pretty cursive, inked onto a sign nearby. Several of the slices of earth were missing from the presentation.
Cipha had grown out of her world, only to grow into an existential nightmare.
The world she was once so eager to reduce to ash under her thumb was cradled carefully within her palm. What she was about to do was not a solo act, it was what would have likely happened to her.
"Hey now, did you steal one of my earths?" the street vendor then asked, somehow raising her angry tone even higher.
"N-no! I-I just, uh!" Cipha was not making herself look innocent with that reaction. How could anyone be expected to when this was their introduction to Omniworld?
"Hey now, let's not blow this whole incident out of proportion!" came a nearby feminine voice. Both Cipha and the street vendor turned to put a face to the voice, only to be blinded by the most stunning visage.
Cipha thought she was the prettiest girl in the world—true to her tiny conceptualization of "pretty" from a tiny world. Now, she knew "pretty" upon gazing into the soul of this girl. She had never seen anyone with such a perfect combination of sexy curves and athletic muscles. Even those gorgeous Hollywood actors that trained for months to meet the stratospheric levels of fitness that comic book character roles required couldn’t really compare to whoever this mystery girl was.
What should have been an inconsistency—an adorable face—only made her more appealing and intriguing to the eye. She had a set of three freckles under each eye, a Mona Lisa smile proudly displayed between the patches. If this was a world beyond the world, she was the first person to truly fit that "heavenly" status.
She walked up to the vendor, handing the woman behind the stall a large sum of currency. "Here you are, for all the trouble my new friend here might have caused."
New friend? Cipha wanted to say, yet remained silent, knowing it was best not to conflict with something way out of her league. Who was this woman, exactly? A good samaritan, Cipha could only hope.
The woman behind the stall gave a disgruntled nod and a trill of her lips, returning to her wares, satisfied with the transaction. Cipha turned to her mysterious benefactor, only for the woman to grab her arm.
"C'mon, let's get outta here. I'll take you back to my place, get you all freshened up."
Cipha had no choice but to accept this kind act.
~
"I'll leave some clothes out for you when you're done with the shower, plus a meal. Then we can chat further," the woman spoke with a seriousness to her voice.
"Phew, thank you," came Cipha's shaky voice, octaves waning and waving.
"Don't mention it at all!" the friendly woman replied, her cheery demeanor returning.
As promised, clothes and some food were waiting for Cipha once she had cleaned herself off. Sure, she still felt like an imposter in a strange new world, but at least she was shielded from the elements.
...All the power in the world and she was just another person in this strange new setting.
"I, um, never got your name, by the way?" asked Cipha inbetween bites of a sandwich. Her voice was a wavering, meek tone now—far different from the typical commanding baritone that often accompanied her rousing speeches back on her earth.
"Lauren," she said pleasantly, her melodious voice putting Cipha at ease as well as enticing the former supervillainess with intrigue. Now, she needed to know everything about this woman. "You?"
Such simple words—Only exactly what she needed to say. Cipha was having trouble responding, her thoughts lost within Lauren's pristine eyes.
"C-uh-Cipha!" she replied, almost forgetting her own name.
"Well then, C-uh-Cipha," Lauren replied in jest, giggling to herself. "It's nice to meet you. I'm sure you have a bunch of questions. Please, feel free to ask them."
Cipha took the time of her finishing her sandwich as an attempt to make sense of this world around her. This world... It was similar. The buildings were structured like a typical large city. All the residents were proportioned the same as humans. Did they know that every single one of their earths likely contained tiny little people on them? No... how could everything be so uniform and yet the ethics of this world still be intact? There was more here, Cipha was just missing it... Surely.
"So, you, uh, live here all by yourself?" the not-so-supervillainess asked, trying to ease Lauren into spilling information without giving away that she was from one of the many planets people on this world were quick to consume without a second thought.
"That I do. Make good money in tech, y'know? Haven't had a lot of time to go out in the world and look for a friend, or love." As she spoke that last part, her eyes stared into Cipha's for but a second.
The blonde once-supervillainess' eyes widened, her cheeks heating up like twin electric stove burners on her face. Lauren was quick to note this, her eyes half-lidding and her canine digging into her lip.
Was this... was this love? Had Cipha broken into heaven when she ascended?
Lauren was the one to break the silence, scooting closer to Cipha."Hehe, now it's my turn to ask some questions, Cipha."
"Fair enough!" the former supervillainess replied, now thoroughly flattered, buzzed on love.
"So, tell me, how did you just... appear like that?"
"Oh, y'know..." Cipha began, weighing her options about how much truth she should actually tell. "I was in my world, sleeping nude as one does, when I wanted to get a midnight snack. So I walked downstairs to get one of the many earths from my fridge when all of the sudden I found myself in broad daylight, in the middle of the public sidewalk, no less! That's when that woman accused me of stealing one of her earths."
A half truth would have to suffice. While Cipha appreciated this woman's generosity, flirtatiousness and... assets she wasn't exactly sure if she could trust Lauren yet. Though, the only truth was that she had been warped from another dimension to here. If anything, it was more of a quarter truth.
Lauren seemed to buy it, though. "Oh wow, I've never heard of a normal-sized human suddenly warping to the Omniworld. Usually, it's just little tasty tinies within their little scrumptious earths!"
Cipha couldn't hide her physical disgust at the sudden casualness of Lauren's cruelty, though she tried. Lauren's keen eyes caught the bridge of her nose scrunching up and the outward lids of her eyes narrowing.
"What's wrong, Cipha? Was it something I said?" There was a sinister glint in her eye as she asked that question, awaiting her "new friend's" response.
Cipha thought up a response quick. "Oh, i-it's just that, in my universe, these little planets are uninhabited, y'know?"
"Aw, that's too bad, the little tinies are the best parts! Like powdered sugar atop a cookie!" Lauren answered in disappointment. "They really add that extra organic crunch that's really hard to fabricate in any other food."
Cipha took a gamble. "But, um, aren't those people on those earths, y'know, actual people? Ones with lives and hopes and desires?"
Lauren looked at Cipha as if she, an adult woman, had just admitted she still believed in Santa Claus.
"Oh Cipha... Cipha, Cipha, Cipha..." Lauren replied, adopting a tone better suited for talking down to a child with. "They're just tinies, it's really no big deal at all! They'll never be us. As tall as us, as beautiful as us!"
As Lauren continued to blab on and on about her philosophies, a pit of despair was building up in Cipha's stomach. This was enemy territory. She was only still alive because she was the lucky one in a 1-in-a-trillion chance of survival. She had grown to the perfect size to blend in.
She felt... empty, her eyes locked in a wide stare. Wait... this wasn't just an emotional emptiness... it was if the power-
Oh no. Her vast power was running out.
"Cipha? Are you okay? I hope I didn't disturb you. Look, it's really no big deal, you're not a tiny, why do you care?" Lauren asked, raising a quizzical eyebrow.
Cipha didn't respond. She simply stood up in a huff, looking for the quickest exit from Lauren's flat.
But before she could leave, Lauren grappled her in a powerful hug, easily overpowering Cipha even with the strength of millions of superheroes coursing within her. She brought her lips to Cipha's, embracing her with the most passionate display of love there was.
"Cipha, look, I know it seems like we got off on the wrong foot, but I really want you to know that as soon as I laid eyes on you, you were one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen!"
The former villainess stopped struggling. For the briefest moment, the feeling of tranquility washed over her. Thoughts of a simpler life, one where she could settle down with a beautiful woman flashed before her eyes.
Then Cipha sank an inch. Then two. Then four. She went from eye-level to chin in mere seconds, getting a perfect panning glance as Lauren's devious smile slowly grew, canines flashing proudly. Lauren’s eyes lit up at the sight, as if the sudden sight of Cipha shrinking instantly removed her from "human" status firmly into the category of "entertainment."
"Ah, teehee! Sneaky little tiny!" Lauren replied, her pupils calculatedly following Cipha's descent. "Thought you could hide from me, huh?"
Cipha immediately attempted to make a break for it, only for her to trip up on her own shrinking feet. Lauren just laughed at her misfortune like a cruel spectator, not even bothering to chase after Cipha.
She fell onto her hands and knees on the carpet, only for the carpet to quickly become tall grass, then the tall grass became a jungle. Then the jungle turned to night. Cipha looked up, a monolith of a foot consuming her entire view.
"Oh, little tiny, I've quite enjoyed the fun we've had together, I'd almost say it's a shame it had to end this way," Lauren lamented, as if the universal law of this world suddenly compelled her to ignore all the moments they shared. As if the kiss she so passionately shared from earlier was instantly tossed into the bin alongside any conflicting feelings.
"Well, well, well... What am I to do with you in your final moments, Cipha? Maybe I'll let the bedbugs have their way with you. After all, I'd need a microscope in a few seconds just to see your face again."
What will Lauren do next?
