As the path cleared, you looked ahead and spotted a hill in the near distance. On top of the hill was an ancient looking structure, sure to be predate anyone still kicking on earth. The appeal of ruins always fascinated you, as your favorite movie as a child was Raider's of the Lost Ark, so you decided that the best course of action would to be going to observe the ancient temple for yourself.
You made your way through the meadow, up the hill, and soon you were facing two large columns holding a large sanctum up. You entered the door the size of the Lincoln Memorial as you looked on the walls, seeing ancient hieroglyphs lining them, with images depicting men turning to sandals, and women turning to vases. You kept your solid walking pace, being sure that you didn't trigger any traps while you walked forward.
Soon, you saw what the temple must have been built around as there was a large ruby resting on a pillar, with sunlight pouring in through the ceiling, giving it a strange glow. It was beautiful, more gorgeous than anything that you had ever seen for sale, and it was just lying in front of you. This is when you may have made the most stupid decision possible.
You approached the beautiful gem, admiring the way it glowed, before reaching out for it, and grabbing it. Something was wrong when you tried to pull up however, as the gem wouldn't budge. You heard a thunderous boom, and then a deep voice started.
"HOW DARE YOU TOUCH THE GEM OF ETERNITY" It thundered over you. "THE PUNISHMENT YOU WILL RECEIVE IS ONE WORSE THAN DEATH. YOU WILL SPEND THE REST OF YOUR TIME ON THE ISLAND AS AN INANIMATE OBJECT. THE ONLY KEY TO BREAKING YOUR CURSE IS SOMEHOW ARRIVING BACK ON THE MAINLAND. YOU SHALL BE TRANSFORMED INTO
