Seeing a booth set off to the side and a man wearing a top hat was enough to catch your attention, as you immediately walked over to the stand upon seeing it. The man had jet black, combed hair, and a twirled mustache, standing in front of a table with a list of signatures on a sheet of paper lying atop it. He grinned at the sight of you, something that most males did when catching a woman of your beauty in their eyes.
"Welcome! I am Leo Tettlebot, and I'm looking for contestants. Do you like competition?" He asked.
"Yeah! I played volleyball in high school!" You said excitedly.
"How about thrills? You a big adrenaline kind of girl?" He questioned with a face as though he already knew the answer.
"Totally!" You nearly hollered, pumped at the thought of some kind of contest.
"You'd be great for our little game then! Sign right here and I'll call a colleague to get you set up." He finished his pitch, handing you a pen and pointing underneath the list of names, indicating for your signature. You gave your John Hancock, before his grin grew even wider. He reached into his shirt pocket before texting something, and out of an alleyway came a woman wearing a pantsuit and sunglasses, her hair tied into a bun behind her head.
She was pretty, but wouldn't even hint at it as she marched towards you with an expressionless look, and the man motioned for you to follow her. You did exactly that, standing next to the woman as she escorted you back to the main trail of the island, walking down the trail. She passed the resort, and you peered ahead to see even more trail.
It grew less urbanized further along the trail, and it was obvious that you were entering a less populated section of the island. She eventually stopped in front of a building looking like any regular one on the mainland, and walked you inside to the lobby. It was a small room, with a receptionist who seemed to recognize the woman showing you the way, giving her a quick nod before pressing a button to unlock a door towards the backrooms.
Here, the woman walked past multiple rooms, all of which looked somewhat like a doctor's office, and eventually stopped midway down the hall, opening the door to a room identical to the rest. There was a bed in the corner, with a computer parallel in the other corner of the small room. The walls were white, and the only furniture outside the bed was a rolling chair next to the computer. There was a strange metal machine overhead the bed, but outside of that it was completely normal.
"Lie on the bed, we simply need to conduct some tests." The woman broke her silence by saying, and you did as told, lying on your back, looking up at the strange device above you. She made her way to the chair in front of the computer, rolling into a comfortable position. She pressed three buttons on the computer, and a flash overcame your body, emerging from the machine above. You blinked, opening your eyes and seeing you were
