The Jack & Anna Alliance Winning Her Back chapter 7 by Hero_For_Hire

Anna still wasn't convinced this whole thing wasn't a dream. How could she really be looking at Jack right now? Tiny, naked, and being held in a comically small cage. She shook her head and sighed. 

"This is... so insane." she laughed, "So, my sister shrunk you, but Lydia has the antidote..?"

"Yes - well, no. I shrunk myself, which is why Lydia has the antidote."

"You shrunk yourself?"

"Yes."

"...Why?!"

Jack clutched the bars and shook them once again. "Anna, for god's sake! She could be back any minute, just help me!"

Anna watched the cage swing gently from his sudden movements. It truly was an utterly pathetic display; the fear in his voice, the tears in his eyes... why would Zoe even want a tiny man? Then something clicked in Anna's brain. In pondering the purpose of a tiny person, she suddenly realized the ideal use for him - well, maybe the second best use at least...

"Okay, Jack. I can help you." 

"Thank you, Anna! Zoe left the key to this cage on the-"

"Ah, ah, ah!" Anna held a finger up, silencing him. "Not so fast, little guy. I can help you but..."

Jack's shoulders dropped. He didn't like where this was going.

"...I need a favor from you first." She let the proposition hang in the air for a moment before continuing. "There's this boy - his name is Andrew - and I've had a crush on him for, like, ever."

Jack banged his head on the bars of his cage. Why was he being involved in such pointless teenage drama?

"But, my best friend - Blake - also has a crush on him."

"...okay?" 

"We agreed that neither of us would ask him out - avoids any weirdness, y'know?"

"Anna, please just tell me what you need."

"I think Blake is seeing Andrew, but they're both, like, keeping it from me."

"So ask her if she's seeing him." Jack said with a shrug.

"I did. She said she's not."

"Mystery solved."

"No! Because obviously she'd say that, dummy!" she tapped her finger on Jack's cage several times, knocking to see if anyone was home. The cage swung violently back and forth before she grabbed it and steadied it again with her fingers. "So, I need you to, like, spy on her."

"Fine, whatever - make me big and I'll follow her around for you..."

"Noooo dummy!" she tapped the cage again. "It'll be easier when you're small! I'll sneak you into her bag or something and then you can get to work watching where she goes, who she talks to, what she says and maybe even see her and Andrew together. I'll give you, like, three days, and then I'll just stay over at hers for the night and we'll leave together! Easy, right?"

"Except for the part where I have to live undetected in a strangers house for three days." Jack deadpanned. 

"If you think it's a dumb idea, you're welcome to stay in this cage." Anna shrugged. "Maybe Zoe will let you be big again after, I don't know... a few months? Maybe a year?"
