Zoe Goes To Her Bedroom Winning Her Back chapter 7 by northgate_1

Jack watches Zoe as she picks up a few of her things and heads upstairs to her bedroom.  Jack goes to follow her and immediately finds his first problem, each step to go upstairs is taller than him.  Fortunately Jack was in pretty good shape and had done some rock wall climbing.  The steps were carpeted so he could grab the fibers to pull himself up but there are 13 steps so it's going to require a lot of effort to make it to the top.  

Jack figures that faster he gets upstairs the faster he'll see Zoe again.  He starts the first step and then the second but by the fifth step his muscles are hurting and he decides to rest a moment.  

As Jack is resting, he hears a noise and can see the front door open and Zoe's younger sister Anna coming into the house.  Jack never liked Anna and she certainly wasn't fond of him.  He watches as she kicks her sandals off and walks barefoot into the kitchen to get a snack.  Jack knows the clock is ticking before she goes up the steps and spots him.  That would be very bad.

Jack starts climbing again as fast as he can but he has eight more steps to get to the top.  Anna sticks her head out of the kitchen for a moment and yells upstairs "You home Zoe?"  Jack hears Zoe respond "Yeah in my bedroom.  Come on up when you're done down there.  You won't believe what happened to me today."  

Jack is still climbing when Anna comes out of the kitchen and heads for the steps.  Jack knows time is up.  He had only just started climbing the ninth step when Anna is at the bottom.  Jack drops back down and huddles in the corner of the steps as Anna come up the steps.  

Anna climbs the steps and to Jack's relief she didn't spot him.  As she passes by her giant barefoot stomps by right next to Jack and he realized how vulnerable he is.  Anna heads down the hallway to Zoe's room and  Jack  continues his ascent.  As he is climbing he hears the sisters talking and Zoe tells Anna about you shrinking and having his friend deliver him in a box.  "What a loser." Anna responded.  Zoe continued "I've moved on from Jack.  I told that girl to take him."  Anna tells her sister "You should have taken him from her and made him your slave.  Then he's have to do whatever menial tasks we gave him.  I'd love to help you train him so he's a nice obedient slave."   Zoe just responded "Good riddance to him.  I don't ever want to see him again."  Jack's heart sank a bit hearing that as he still always thought he could get back together with her and that it was just a matter of time.   Her words sounded pretty final.  

Jack makes it to the top and is exhausted.  He slowly moves along the wall down the hallway toward Zoe's room.    He hopes he won't get spotted as he moves toward her room.  He's exhausted but almost at his objective.  Then....
