Now that he understands what dangerous people he's involved with, Jack feels he has no choice but to plead with the corrupt attorney that it was his last escape attempt, and they could trust Heather with him from now on.
Even if they can convince Bella to let her friend go, he knows, Heather really won't be happy with him. She'll likely make any future escape all but impossible for him, from now on. But Morgan basically just said she'd treat him worse, Bella's already threatened to kill him more than once, and Cindy's some kind of criminal just like her.
Morgan shrugs at his appeal, and gives him some lines to memorize so he can improve his chances. She then gets up to get an unmarked vial from her purse, and then makes her way down the long hall to interrupt Bella and Heather talking in a guest room.
"Excuse me? Girls?" She knocks politely while entering the room, smiling apologetically. From the looks on each of their faces, it seems like Bella's been explaining to her the potential dangers of being careless with her tiny human 'companion'. "Sorry to interrupt, but I think Jack here had something he really wanted to say to the love of his life that couldn't wait."
Held out in her fist, Jack bows his head and recites: "I tried to tell someone that I was trapped with you against my will. Please discipline me so I never think of doing or saying anything like that ever again, and keep a closer eye on me from now on just in case so I don't get lost."
It's a humiliating speech, but Bella seems to rather like it, although Heather wears a mix of anger at Jack's betrayal and fear of what Bella will do now that somebody else knows the truth about him. "How could you!?" She gasps at him, then pleads. "Morgan, I swear it's not what it sounds like. But you can't tell anyone. Please?"
"Luckily, I hired her ahead of time. If she was just here as a guest, then there'd be nothing stopping her from helping him." Bella tells her sternly, fudging the truth a little. She figures Heather likely doesn't realize Morgan wouldn't want this getting out and interfering with her clients' business, anyway. "I thought something like this might happen. Didn't I tell you? Just because he starts acting obedient doesn't mean the job is done. A slip like this could have endangered all of us, but especially you!" She glares up at Heather to make sure she gets it.
Now it's Bella's turn to look briefly confused, as Morgan adds: "That's why we slipped the shrinking drug into your drink. That last round that Cindy brought, remember?" She smiles coldly, and holds up the vial from her purse as Bella catches on to her trick. "We brought the antidote in case Bella thinks you can be trusted to keep everything secret, him especially."
She looks to Bella, who understands the trick now. They hadn't brought an antidote, and Morgan was holding the sample of shrink potion that she'd managed to get rushed in overnight. Heather's already imagining that her mimosa buzz is her head spinning from the shrink drug kicking in; she starts begging the other two to stop joking and give her the antidote already, swearing that she can keep their secret.
Bella looks at her, and decides...
