Billy considered his options, all of them were enticing for different reasons, all of them sounded wrong and could go wrong if someone found out about him or the remote. After a time that involved clearing his head from the temptations caused by sneaking into Emily's room or into a room full of giant girls, Billy decides to go for something simple and not as dangerous. Instead of trying to steal jewelry, something where he could get caught on camera or draw too much attention to him, he will simply sneak in the teacher's room and take a look at that upcoming test for a topic he is still struggling with.
He convinces himself is the best option, it would be a simple matter of getting near the door, shrinking himself, sneaking in the empty room, growing himself and steal the answers, a perfect heist over a controlled environment to start testing the remote's capabilities. He makes a quick test in his room just to be sure it can be done, smiling when he notices the remote in his hand shrinking and growing along with him. The only problem he finds in the test was how his clothes felt baggy when he shrunk and tight for some minutes when he grew back up, as if the size change was a bit delayed for them, but it is a minor issue.
"This means I can skip studying today" Billy thinks and smiles, confident that he can easily get the answers of the test now and deciding to use the time instead to catch up about technology news and get more info about what he wanted to build. His curiosity drives him to search about the remote, surprised to find absolutely nothing about it. Alle he can find is fictional stories about shrinking devices, like on that movie about the dad that shrinks his kids by accident. Looking at the remote, he finds no brand or identification that can serve as a hint, so he decides to try disassembling it after stealing the answers, to get more hints about it and see if he can even build his own version.
The next day school life goes as normal, with Billy avoiding Emily in purpose and failing to stay focused on his first classes because the excitement and thrill about what he's going to do at break time distracts him too much. It's not just the shrinking, he's going to steal from his teacher, to break the rules for his advantage. Break time finally comes and with the trusty remote in hand, he casually walks to the teachers' room. As expected it is locked so it must be empty, and looking down he can see the little space he could crawl into to sneak in. Billy takes a breath and gets ready.
